QUESTION: Does it bother you when people eat or drink items at the grocery store before purchasing the item?
Talk about it….
Yes, because they don’t always pay for it. I saw a person chucking a 24 oz Corona at Food Max last year.
Forgot the ending….He put the beer on the shelf when he was done.
doesn’t matter to me what people think, I’m trying one grape before I buy the whole bunch and find out at home that they’re sour and inedible.
That’s the only thing I try before buying.
You really think they pay, not happening!
Personally, I don’t care, but I’m sure many folks start eating/drinking something and then leave it without paying. We’ve really only opened something to give keep our little one calm.
Depends, I have at times grabbed a bottle of water and opened it, if I was very thirsty and the line was long. If I buy grapes it is tempting to nibble on a few, but then you are cheating the store, so I don’t do it. At my work we sell chocolate bars at some registers, sometimes a customer will take one and open it, but in plain sight so they are not trying to steal it, often it is because they have child who is having a meltdown, or if someone is lightheaded because they need to eat something. So it does not bother me.
I guess it depends on the store policy. I personally think it’s tacky. If you get thirsty or hungry while shopping, eat/drink before you go or bring something with you. How many shoppers actually pay for the item is also a concern. If they don’t pay, we ALL end up paying for their shoplifting.
Amateurs ! ! ! . . . . . . Costso legalized it.
.
There free sample carts causing road block isle clogging are enough to make CHP jealous.
…as long as they pay – no problem…. if they don’t pay – big problem!
The grocery stores should leave a few samples out in the produce section.
A few slices of navel oranges would be nice because half the time the ones you buy are dried out or sour. Blueberries are hit & miss too.
Raley’s offers one free banana per child to keep ’em quiet & happy.
Yes. It’s not a buffet.
As long as it’s 5′ oclock somewhere, for sure I’m drinkin’
We just called it Beer Thirty Time.
.
I think someone should bring two wine glasses and a corkscrew to the store and enjoy a bottle of cabernet with their partner while grocery shopping.
.
C’mon… do it.
.
Not bothered at all. I’m having a hard time imagining why anyone would be bothered except for the store owner. No skin off my back. Even if I was a store owner…as long as it’s actually before buying…as in they follow through with the buying part. Wether someone consumes it there or later doesn’t really feel like it matters in the end.
