The main roads on Mount Diablo will be closed at least through tomorrow, Jan.1, 2023.
Rock, mud, and debris slides on the main roads forced the closure.
This includes North Gate, South Gate, and Summit Roads.
This closure applies to everyone — cars, bicycles, and hikers.
The Mitchell Canyon and Macedo Ranch entrances and back country will remain open, but visitors are advised to use caution on the trails and fire roads and asked to report any issues such as slides and downed trees to the park at Feedback.MountDiablo@parks.ca.gov and by phone at 925-837-6122.
