Merry Christmas everyone. Mall was packed today and in the past it annoyed me but after the last few years I think it is fantastic! Hope you all have a great Christmas!
Be good to one another and be good to yourselves.

Things are getting busy around here, so I’ll say it now …. Merry Christmas!
Enjoy what it may bring for you. 🙂

I wasn’t in the mood for last night’s Christmas party, just not happy with the world as it is.
I remember first we were drinking whiskey, then came the eggnog with rum in it & last thing I recall we were having snifters of Drambuie …. now I’ve awakened with a headache, everything is kinda spinning and my stomach is upset….but I’m feeling much better about Christmas.
The spirits did it all in one night!

Hope you recover soon.
Glad you are feeling better about Christmas.
There is some good in this World.
It will find you. 🙂

Claycord needs a smile icon for jokes. Keyboard doesn’t have anything to use for smiles.

I think everyone is using a browser extension for emojis. I use the one for Firefox. 🤪

They used to depict smiles sideways, like this 🙂

Hmm …! That didn’t work. That just entered an emoji, not the keystrokes. Something like this : – ) I won’t know if that worked ’till I “Submit” it. There’s a space in between each character.

Dr. Jellyfinger, You need to pick your poison and stick to it. Switching around from one type of drink to another is guaranteed to upset your stomach, or give you a headache later. And, generally don’t mix Gin with anything else. Especially, don’t mix Eggnog, or anything with milk in it, with anything else.

As long as you don’t start breaking out in spots.
Like finding your car at the bottom of a ravine, with you in it . . . .

Xmas joke

Not to brag, but I have a talent for predicting what’s inside a wrapped present. It’s a gift.

This Christmas is turning into a real adventure. I woke up at 6:00 when the power went out, so I got up and started a fire and shut down my computer. A few minutes later, power came back on and I went back to bed. Since then, power has gone down several more times. TVA has a rolling blackout to shut down power for 10-15 minutes every 1.5 – 2 hours. My wife is trying to plan her baking between outages. And I still haven’t figured out tomorrow’s standing rib roast.

Ancient Mariner, …
Came across another website https://engineeringjohnson.blogspot.com/

Well, thank your, Original G!
I do love old pictures of strange machines and structures.

Merry Christmas Everryone!

With the recent comments on the bottom of the page, long links won’t intrude into the main column. But that’s a lot to scroll past, just to get to the recent comments.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You ! Mr. Mayor
Great Christmas Present ! ! !

I agree. I’m glad the latest comments are back, but no one is going to scroll down to look for them. I would like to see them in the first column again.

Was up in west antioch today noticed some intersections appeared to have been repaved, looked closer and turned out to be overlapping skid marks from sideshow activity. Sad, city has deteriorated so much in last 20 years.

Who’s kids are racing on kirker pass?

Anyone else own a Samsung dish washing machine? I’ve have no complaints about other Samsung products, but the dish washing machine I bought just over a year ago has racks that are rusting & falling apart! I called their service line & they said they’d replace ’em. Months later, nothing! Nada… they friggin lied to me! I called again & they said the warranty has expired and they would not replace the racks (the damned things are supposed to be water proof) I see online that others are complaining too… same problem. Any lawyers out there want to get my class action suit started?

@ Dr. Jellyfinger – Nah, no lawyers are going to take a class action lawsuit for rusty racks. Dishwasher or otherwise.

We ditched the dish washing machine 10 plus years ago. Ripped it out and had it replaced with 3 levels of very sturdy shelving for storing frequent dishes and bakeware I use. Easy to grab and use; holds a lot of dishes and bakeware. One of the best home remodeling decisions we’ve made.

We wash all dishes by hand, dish water goes outside to plants and gardens. They love it. All dishes and bakeware and cookware are always clean. And our skin loves the Ivory Soap dish detergent we use.

Sometimes old fashioned is best, for a lot of reasons.

That’s the solution for shoddy appliances?….. just get rid of ’em?
I guess I could do my laundry in the sink as well, dry it on a clothes line in the yard… no way!
Getting rid of your toilet might be good for the garden too, but I’m not about to do that either.

@DR. JELLYFINGER….You could put casters on your toilet so you can move it from spot to spot in your garden. I guess that would be a closed system for maximum efficiency in your personal food chain. “A whole new way to start the day” as Peter Fonda says to Jack Nicholson in Easy Rider.

It seems a lot of these recent appliances celebrate form over function.
Recently I discovered they’ve brought back Kelvinator refrigerators. I don’t know why, it’s likely most of the original ones are still running.

@THE FEARLESS SPECTATOR..…Willy Loman knew.

Last month’s PG&E bill represented a twenty year high. I received an email today suggesting the new bill will throw another $100 over that.
No wonder people are burning wood, garbage and anything otherwise combustible in their fireplaces. I feel sorry for the climate change enthusiasts, this will cause such a huge setback for California.

Electing DEMs comes with a high cost.

Next time voting, people should think about what their vote will end up costing them.
