Pool & Spa Doctors, 925-852-7187, the best in the business at repairing and replacing pool and spa equipment!

East Bay Door Pros/WC, Cornell Roofing, Lucky’s, Trader Joe’s. Big 5 Sporting Goods, Orchard Hardware Supply. Peet’s and Starbuck’s Coffee. Panera Bread, Butterfinger and Subway/not headed to restaurants as much. Nicole Danielle Hair Salon/Clayton etc..Ace Hardware both Concord and WC always excellent service @ both. Would like to try out the local Farmer’s Market, we’ll see.

Orchard Supply closed statewide 4 years ago.

I’m a little confused about the “term” local. I thought it meant a local owner that have maybe one or a few more establishments, thus the way I understand it Starbucks, Subway and Panera Bread would not qualify, unless they are a franchise. I don’t eat out much in this area, since I usually meet girlfriends in Sonoma, Petaluma or Napa, however I have had breakfast at Sugar Plum a few times, and think it is great place for breakfast, portions almost too much, price and quality better than Denny’s and IHOP, where I eat breakfast when I drive back from visiting my daughter in Pasadena.

Sugar Plum guy retired and sold business a bit ago.

I’ve not been there for a while…. Is the quality still good?

Heard new owner kept the same main cook; older tall guy…. ???

In my opinion, the Sugar Plum is a great place to go for breakfast or lunch, even with the ownership change from Ray to Claudia. And the main cook is still Jose, who does a great job! I’ve been going there for about 41 years, so, admittedly, I’m biased, positively, about the Plum.

CBH OE HB crispy , Please

Papi Clary’s. Ah, I can’t stay away.

Trader Joes, Pet Food Express, Mona’s, Peet’s and Flying Colors Comics at Treat and Oak Grove. New Lim’s Garden.

Last time I was in the area I was impressed with the revitalization of Main St in Martinez.
So a shout our to all the non-chain restaurants and fabulous little shops and boutiques. Also a big shout out to Market on Main

I’ve always been very happy with the service, the quality, and the variety available at Ace Hardware on Clayton Road in Concord. I usually find exactly what I’m looking for and a whole lotta stuff I didn’t know I needed. And, everyone is very helpful.

New You Dance Center @ Pacheco Community Center! AJ Rogers is the best dance instructor ever! Killin’ it!
