I guess I’m first but it doesn’t count because I wasn’t even trying…. new column is early tonight because the Mayor has a date with a real hottie and had to leave early…. only a rumor tho ……(you didn’t hear it from me).

These posts are dated and time stamped in case you hadn’t noticed, and according to that information, I’m first at 6:00 PM.

“December 2, 2022 – 6:00 PM”

Look up…. Gittyup!

Woops! It was hiding under the banner.

Maybe the clocks at the Claycord Compound got turned back twice this fall. The official Claycord Clock Serf has been laid off.

You’re the Best, Lil Bro. 🙂
Better than the 3 bros I do have.

@Cyn I missed seeing that. Must be some really mean person downvoting stuff. A big, tough wimp! Really, really childish when they could actually make an intelligent comment, instead. The autistic kids need to have their own special get together with Santa considering all the excitement that generates.

I gave you a thumbs-up, just for playing the game.

Holiday joke

How do you wash your hands over the holiday? With SANTAtizer.

How did the cat on the beach know it was Christmas?

He looked down and saw Sandy Claws!

Did you decorate your house for Christmas (or Hannukah)? Willing to post the street, or name a few streets where you know of well deco’d digs?

For example, there are some nice decorations near the Nightmare house on St John, on Minert, San Simeon, Madigan and Frayne.

Eggnog WITH rum.

A) eggnog, too much, in fact.

Oh yeah! Home made eggnog. Drink responsibly 🙂 The wife’s orders.

A) Eggnog!!
I have a good recipe and it’s so tasty on its own without the rum.

@ROZ..…I’ve made my own egg nogg the last few years since I can’t always find Berkeley Farms, I’ve gotten a pretty good recipe that mimics it pretty close. I’m not a drinker so alcohol would just ruin it for me…. bottoms up!

Looks like the “A’s” have it; spiked or not.

“C” for me. Don’t like the Nog nor do I care for Rum. But, please don’t let that stop y’all !

Being a fan of Bourbon; Hot Buttered Bourbon is a thing. Didn’t care for it .

and,,, I’ve next weeks Pick One in my mind already. Hope I don’t forget what it is,,,

🙂

Definitely Eggnog!

Eggnog, with Jack or Brandy.

But the C) category has to include boiled custard. My Southern Grandma used to make it as a special treat, every year. They actually sell it in stores here, right next to the eggnog. Yuck sums it up very well.

I’m not a fan of custard, so as a beverage it must be horrid.
I had a southern grandma too…. Had some great southern dishes that gross most people out.
Lucky, never boiled custard; that I can remember.

Mayor,
Having recent comments back will be nice. Also like Beyond Claycord. From someone who is not on social media platforms other than Claycord.com, I thank you for this site.

I actually liked not seeing the “recent comments” on the left, it made the layout too cluttered. Also, it didn’t indicate which story the comments related to. I believe the readers will go to any story that interests them to read recent comments. Just my opinion; otherwise, I am slowly getting use to the new format. I still only read the sections that I would read before and as of yet I really don’t venture into the other areas. Its like buying a anything new that has lots of features; yet, I still only use the basics.

@ CYN ~ I too, am not on social media platforms other than Claycord.com

Mayor ~ Appreciate all you do for us here on Claycord.

Mayor, it seems that the number of people commentating is down since the format change. Therefore, I’ve been trying to add 10% more nonsense. Got to keep the ball rolling! 🤠

Oh yes, the joys of software development. I hope you are having fun doing this. We are having fun reading and replying. Best of luck!

Mls the top US soccer league posted the leagues top scorers. In the top fifty there were four US citizens and only one made the mens world cup team. If you go to the top 100 there are a couple more US citizens. Basically the teams are made up of non US citizens. We have millions of kids and young players in the US playing soccer and there are some that are very talented. If we don’t start getting rid of foreign players and start developing US kids we will never have a competitive US team.

Hey Claycord, noticed your comment on an improved spam filter….

As I’m on my 3rd cup of coffee….. I got an error message that I am posting too quickly and to slow down…

What say you?

🙂

I know it doesn’t mean I type fast…… Not sure if an earlier response will post or not….

Sorry, Jellyfinger. my mistake. 🤗 You came in at December 2, 2022 – 5:53 PM. Seven minutes before me. And, at the top of the column, no less! Congratulations, nice work! 👆🏻👀💰🎯

Amber Heard wants a new defamation trial against Johnny Depp!
Oh Martha! Here we go again…

I promise this time …… no more jokes about Depp forcing Amber to “take the fifth”.

What a pair those two were. I can’t understand how he put up with the abuse. Depp is a very funny guy. He must have just been laughing it off. Still, if that’s fame, I’ll take obscurity.

Speaking of wild relationships, what’s happened to “Good Morning America”?

Picked up food from Sichuan House in Countrywood the other night and saw that Sorrento is gone. Does anyone know when it closed down?

@Miguel
I think it was around June/July of this year, but not certain. I used to frequent that place when I worked in Walnut Creek years ago. I often got a 1/2 order of spaghetti and it came with the biggest meatball I had ever seen. I was saddened to hear they closed.

Last night we attended the Winter Concord at Clayton Valley Charter High School. We went to see our Grandson Gavin and support the music program. We brought 4 friends who were in town and staying with us for the night. As we entered the multiuse room I was hoping the concert would be entertaining enough for our friends. The multiuse room was about half full.
To get right to the point of my posting “We were blown away”.
The selection of songs played were on par with the S. F. symphony in my opinion. I was taken to another world with the sounds. Not only were the 30 to 40 music students disciplined, they were extremely talented (and very well directed). We enjoyed music from the Nutcracker, from a composer of the 1800’s, from some background for TV commercials and a rendition of Silent Night that was just plain awesome, to name a few.
As we exited through the multiuse room doors I felt a renewed faith in our youth who are willing to achieve. Our friends that came with us were thankful that we invited them as they discussed the success with the intricacies of all the different instruments while performing the songs.
Kudos must also go out to Chance Krause, the Instrumental Music Director.
I see some real dedication behind the scenes at both the student level and the Director level. {A+ in my book}
Thank You both for a wonderful evening of music. It’s one we will not forget.

I feel sorry for you folks that keep checking the “Whatever” page, desperately trying to be “1st”.
Think about it…. what does it really matter?
What knuckle head was it that even started the pointless competition?
You need to rise above it and try being fashionably late, that’s what is really cool.
If someone else is obsessed with being first, so what?
Let the baby have it’s bottle.

Does anyone remember, or old enough to remember Playland in San Francisco? I was telling my grandchild about Playland and got to laughing because I realized after all these years my ideal of fun for a kid has changed alot. One ride was a round wood floor, you would sit in the middle of the floor and it would spin faster and faster until it slammed you into a wooden wall. The littlest kids being first to hit the wall would then have the bigger kids smashing into them. Can you imagine? Or how about the wood walkway with rope to hold onto that would buckle so you would fall and slam your knees into the wood and if you held onto the rope it would rip the skin from your hands. Oh good times.
