Not sure what the circumstances are here, but I have almost struck 2 people in 2 days, at night. Both wearing dark clothes in the middle of the street. Barely saw them.

Jaywalking is now legal. So is the law of physics, as this poor guy learned.

Jaywalking is legal? I don’t think so. This was not a question of jaywalking anyway since he was walking on the freeway.

Yes but nobody wants to be the driver that hits and kills another individual. It doesn’t matter if it is not the driver’s fault…..That would be extremely difficult to deal with.

That comment was definitely uncalled for. We don’t know all the circumstances anyway.

I almost got one tonight on Farm Bureau. It was dark, no street lights, and he was ALL in black darting across the road. Jeesh. So very unsafe.

When is the DST change going to be passed since we voted to keep it? Our votes don’t count I guess.

DST has nothing to do with this. Even if they eliminate it, it won’t change the fact that it gets darker earlier or later. People just need to use precautions when they’re out at night, but most people do not.

The Toyota driver was not injured.

Perhaps not physically.

I pity the driver as he was legally driving on freeway and now he is also a victim. This will haunt him forever.
