A drunk man with a loaded gun was arrested in Martinez on Saturday, according to police.
At approximately 2 a.m., officers responded to the 7-Eleven on Morello Ave. for a report of an intoxicated male parked at the gas pumps. He was refusing to leave. Officers arrived and located the individual, and after a short investigation, officers found a loaded 9mm handgun in his vehicle.
He was arrested for being in possession of a loaded handgun in public and being a prohibited person in possession of a handgun.
He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
The name of the suspect was not released.
