Not sure why Fully Tinted Windshields is not on the list.
Also, why are the Illegal, non-DOT approved LED headlights not a Hazard??? This Blinds oncoming drivers and is Dangerous. And no, a 25 year old Civic or GMC Sierra did not come with Factory LEDs.
I am happy to hear our police getting extra funds n will help on traffic issues. To many drive fast all times day or nite. I pull over a lot as they like to come right up on your bumper …scary times for me. If accident cannot drive again should make em stop.
Why not pull over everyone with expired or no registration as well? Imagine removing all of those vehicles from the road by impounding them immediately. Remove the transportation of our criminals …
LMAO seeing is believing and I hope they can make a believer out of me.
If I had a dollar for every person I see having a hand held cell phone conversation (sometimes on their ear, sometimes like a CB radio mic), filming a TikTok, taking selfies, texting, or just plain doing anything with a phone that keeps them from paying attention to the fact that they’re actually driving, we’d be able to fill some potholes in this town.
We grant people money to do their job?
How about some noise checks on all these vehicles with alterd exhausts in
@The Wizard….Exceptions on Harley Davidsons, V-8s, V-10s and V-12s. Nail the people with the thumpin’ jungle rap “music” too.
Sounds like a money maker to me. If they crack down on red light runners, it’ll be worth it.
I’m happy to read that more money will be provided so DUI offenders will be caught. my 60 year old friend was just hit head on while driving in Concord. the driver was so drunk that he passed out after the accident that happened. he is an undocumented illegal with no insurance. my friend is still in intensive care with a totaled car and probably health problems for the rest of her life. who is responsible? I believe Governor Newsom should take financial responsibilities for these incidents, and I worry as this drunk was immediately released and not in jail. he’s on the streets ready to do it again.
Why doesn’t your illegal friend have insurance? Illegals can apply for a California driver’s license. The law went into effect on January 1, 2015.
So they’re getting more funds to do what they’ve always needed to be doing ? Ridiculous
Disagree with you wizard they already have lame exhaust laws for anyone with a cool v8 after 73 or 74 models. It’s the motorcycles with straight pipes making the majority of the vehicle noise pollution. You can’t even put long tube headers on any car made after 73 or 74. Pretty much killing car enthusiasts passions. I agree with the poster above why are you guys getting extra cash for doing your job. Also do departments give the cops actual bonuses if they’re cleaning up our streets?
The noise polluters are out of hand. And they run hand in hand with the tinted windows. Time to ticket them all.
Wizard I totally agree.Back in the late sixties and early seventies in Concord they pulled you over in a heartbeat if you had altered exhaust.
@Old Timer….Back in the mid-70s I ran around Concord with open headers for 6 or 8 months, that’s about all my ears could take, my neighbors probably cussed me for it too. A girlfriend was using my car, got a ticket for the exhaust and didn’t tell me. I spent the afternoon in the old Concord PD lockup when a cop came to my door with a warrant a few weeks later. I had mufflers on it by then and the judge let me go, I learned what happens when you don’t take care of things like that. Now I cuss the damn ice cream man that cruises my neighborhood every day.
