The Japanese Festival. I hope they are a go for 2023!

Peace and quiet!

My favorite local even was the COVID lockdown, especially the first 2 weeks. No traffic!

Clayton BBQ Cook Off

Love to hear this. As a long time local competitor I put this on the calendar every year.

it’s the best

Fireworks at College Park High School.

Probably the esquire squirrels and their amusement Park.

My 1st choice would have to be the free 4th of July concerts/fireworks at the Pavilion.

Even though we loved living in Cowell, many of our favorite events took place in Clayton, including the Memorial Day observance, 4th of July parade, and Oktoberfest.

If Pleasanton is considered local, then I’d go with the Alameda County Fair.

Weekly free concerts at Todos Santos Plaza, May-September. Tonight will feel so strange without my concert

I enjoyed the Octoberfest held at Todos Santos a few years ago.
The Clayton bbq is good too.

.
Cobra Day at The Cobra Experience Museum in Martinez.
.

I went to that. It could have been better. I didn’t win the raffled car

…. can’t even think of a good one ….too bad

Music and Market in Todos Santos every Thursday night in the summer. Fun, relaxing and great music.

In June, Pittsburg had its first Festa Italia and it was great! We, the Italian American Club of Pittsburg, made cannolis and we sold out. Great music and food and I’m happy to announce that the 2nd Annual Festa Italia will be happening June 23-35, 2023 at John Buckley Square in Old Town Pittsburg. So this is my favorite local event.

To repeat as “Cowellian” stated about the 4th of July Concerts at the Pavilion, those were great especially when they had special guest appear!

The Christmas Light Show and the more staid musical productions. Bring back the Jazz Concerts.

What happened to the California Symphony group??

Concord held the annual Jazz Festival again this year at several venues. What happened to California Symphony? Check their website californiasymphony.org

Cruising the Main (God I miss that)

Middle 1960’s Cruising the Main in my ’57 Chevy. What a gas!!

We loved the Christmas lights at the Pavilion. Too bad it became too expensive for the local community to put it on. I suspect some woke Anti-Christian movement discouraged the event, in an effort to delete God.
