Central Contra Costa County Expected To Get Up To An Inch Of Rain

Central Contra Costa County is expected to get up to an inch of rain during the upcoming storm, which will last from Sunday into Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

A wind advisory has also been issued for Sunday, with gusts predicted to reach 45-miles-per-hour.

I seriously doubt the rain amount prediction based on some models that are someone’s vivid imagination that don’t mean much reliability wise.
So far zero here in Clayton at 8am.

So far about 2 drizzles. Not enough to help the yard and the sidewalks are dry within minutes. Hopping for better but doubt it will come.

Several years ago some city on the East Coast had a chimpanzee pick the weather at random and it was almost 60% as accurate as the trained forecasters.

I bought a rain gauge yesterday and mounted it on the back fence to see just what kind of rain we actually get. I’ll be curious to see what it reads tomorrow afternoon…
