The following is from the Walnut Creek Police Dept.:

Urgent “Be On The Lookout” (BOLO).

Shortly before 11am, an elderly handicapped victim was at a Chevron gas station and had her car stolen while she stepped away from her vehicle for a few minutes. What makes this situation even sadder for our victim, is that her cherished dog Madie was in the car when it was stolen.

Please BOLO for this blue 2017 Hyundai Sonata (Ca plate # 7WWP584). Also included in this post are a picture of Madie and a picture of the suspect. If you spot this vehicle, please call 911, or the law enforcement agency for the city in which you see it.

We have info the vehicle was last known to be in the area of 18th and Carvello Rd in Antioch several hours ago.

If you recognize the suspect, please call WCPD at 925-935-6400. The case number is 22-26960

UPDATE: The vehicle, dog and suspect have all been located. Madie is on her way back home.

Now I’m pissed. ELDERLY HANDICAPPED WOMANS DOG???
This POS MUST be found and deserves to have his teeth removed by boot. I’m almost in tears. Praying for Madies safe return. Please law enforcement, if you don’t do anything else FIND THIS DEAR WOMANS DOG. This is horrendous. Sending love.

Thankfully, most stolen vehicles are recovered. I’m more concerned about the dog too, especially in this heat. So sad. Keep the faith!

Boy, I’m sorry to say but Antioch has become a cesspool of criminals. They’re always escaping to there or Oakland after they do their crimes in the central County.

His mama must be so proud. What a waste of skin. There should be special penalties for crimes against the elderly.

18th and Carvello Rd in antioch.

ZERO surprise

What’s with all the wristband bracelets, the guy looks like he just got out of a hospital environment.

I taught my daughter a long time ago to always take the key out of the ignition when pumping your own gas. It takes seconds for a thug to jump into the car and drive off, even while you are pumping gas. By the time it dawns on you what just happened, the thug is long gone.
I’m hoping for Madie’s safe return.

Great points Dawg.

I hope dog gets returned safely. Isn’t this a pretty stupid crime, license plate numbers, color of car, picture of suspect, how long does he think he can get away with it? I hope not for long.

Actually, criminals are getting away with things. This is why they’re so emboldened now and don’t care. The chance of them going to jail is very slim. If he’s caught he’ll be turned loose a few hours later by a compassionate judge or rebel DA.

No hanne it’s not a stupid crime. It’s an evil crime. This is the worst scum on earth…along with anyone still supporting biden and nazis.

PLEASE FIND MADIE!!!

SAVE MADIE!!

You’re now public enemy

Sam I agree it is evil and stupid. How about keeping politics out of this. I might not be a republican, but I have never said I’m a fan of Biden, although I support some of his policies, but then I supporter a few of Trumps policies. Aren’t you ever going to get tired of calling me a Nazi, what proof do you have? I have written on this site my parents hid a Danish police officer that was wanted by Gestapo. Give it rest Sam, we don’t agree on policits, but there is not reason fabricate insults.

You should have never said “screw my freedoms” about the mask and vaccine. Nobody gets a pass to say that to me. You drew the line babe.

When there are no true consequences for crime, crime will continue to escalate. This POS will be caught, get a slap on the hand, start or add, to his rap sheet, and continue to be a hazard to the communities that are forced to deal with him. It’s a liberal thing.

It’s “Cavallo Rd”

Glad to hear the dog was found safe. As I said the thug left too many clues, I hope he gets punished to the fullest extent of the law.

.. good job LE! .. now throw the book at him!

I hope they catch this pos. What an a-hole. True Karma would be a K9 bite to the groin for this guy.

Nobody deserves to have their car and dog stolen. But some folks practically ask for it. Take your keys out of the car whenever you leave it. Lock the doors, irregardless of how long you will be away. Many crimes are avoided by simply thinking ahead.

I hope Maddie is not too traumatized after her ordeal.
I’d prescribe doggy treat therapy and maybe a trip to the groomer for a bath and styling…. she’ll be good as new.

The only suitable punishment for a crime against an elderly person is one bullet. Just one bullet to the head of anyone who commits a crime against the elderly

Now that is great news…let’s now get rid of this dreg of society who has caused emotional injury to an elderly person and her adorable dog!

Poor Maddie glad she was found. But always lock your doors, roll up windows and take your keys. I still see woman with their purses sitting in their shopping carts.

All these Criminals should be given a 2nd Chance. Take them by Boat about 50 miles offshore & let them swim back to Land. They can reflect on the Bad Choices they made while they Struggle in the Ocean. If they Survive & Offend again, take them 100 Miles out…No Jail over crowding or Tax $$ wasted…& I have a Boat

If they offend a third time, put them on a boat and sink it.

The criminal at least was wearing his mask to help stop the spread of covid. Stay safe!

Kudos to the cutie who rescued Maddie!

What goes around comes around. This time for the Victim. Great result..Happy ending….

And by the way, don’t believe in the word “Victim.” In my case, In life yes and the justice system yes.
