Patio Español. It’s a Spanish restaurant located on Alamany Blvd in San Francisco. Anybody that enjoys Mediterranean cuisine, would undoubtably enjoy the wonderful dishes of Spain.

Doggie Diner for sure! Worked for them in the 60’s for two years before I was drafted. You don’t want to know how we made the chili……

do tell….

I am here because of the DD, my parents meet there in the 50s. The one on San Pablo Ave in El Cerrito.

Healthy smoothly/juice place with light bites. Not jamba though

Katsu Burger and Sushi (Seattle local chain)

Anything with healthy food:
Hobee’s
Aqui

Years ago when l owned a Diet Center in San Bruno there was Hobee’s there, went there several times for lunch, good food.

The Melt. When l worked at Stanford Shopping center there were one. The have great grilled cheese sandwiches. Later on the added burgers, but a good burger is not that hard to find. A good and unusual grilled cheese sandwich is. I think there’s a Melt in Walnut Creek, but l would like one close to my work.

Texas Roadhouse. Not going to happen because would be too close to the other 3 within a 45 to 50 mile radius.

Portillos and Arbys

Fast food: Jimboy’s
Sit down: Twin Peaks

None. Concord already has enought mediocre natonal chain food and death-in-a-bag fast food

Twin Peaks or Tilted Kilt.

Ba Le … Vietnamese samiches … and on the high end … Ippuku Japanese izakaya from Berkeley … and street food vendors … all of them from Southeast Asia … and 7-11 oden Tokyo style …

Hooters, and everybody knows why.

Yes, because the Twisted Texas Melt is delicious !

Still waiting for DOGDOG_DAD to fess-up on how DD’s chili was made…..
🙂

Sugar Plum Diner!!!!!!!! Colfax St concord.

White Castle

For fast food: Pick Up Stix. There once was one in the Clayton Valley Shopping Center, but the chain closed down most (if not all) of their Northern California locations. It is very good fast Chinese food, and is far superior to Panda Express.

For sit-down: Carmine’s. Unlikely to come to the East Bay because they are typically in high foot traffic areas (New York, Chicago, Vegas), but this is a small chain serving great Italian food family style.
