Senator Steve Glazer will host an online town hall meeting to discuss Monkeypox on August 19, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
He says experts will be available to answer your questions about Monkeypox.

Why haven’t the public health “experts” been closing down the gatherings that contribute to the spread of monkey pox? Is it a stigma issue?
Three weeks of abstinence to flatten the curve might be a reasonable idea.
Definitely agree about events, just as it was important for everyone to skip the family Christmas gathering in 2020 events like The Folsom Street Fair should probably rethink their plan for this year.
That said, it’s not the abstinence that will stop this one it its tracks so much as it is the vaccine (which is in short supply). Prioritizing getting two doses of the vaccine for everyone who wants it should be a priority.
Let me guess what we will hear.
1) Mask up
2) But only for two weeks.
What it should be ….
1) Zip up.
2) Until you get the vaccine.
3) Still be careful.
The general public has nothing to worry about & that needs to be the message. Only specific very risky behavior puts one at risk here. This is not a world wide or country wide health crisis but a gay community health crisis & specifically men
Refraining from anonymous gay sex would prevent almost all of the ongoing transmission.

Monkeypox is a non issue for the U.S. The media and the government just like keeping people under their spell. Same with Polio.

Why is it not correct to call it what it is (Monkey pox) and to emphasize to name LGQBT as a group that is most complicit in its spread/infection??
