Never. I used to order food from restaurants to be delivered but it has gotten too expensive. I don’t enjoy cooking but my cooking is better and cheaper.

Not counting fast food ( which has been and will be less and less) about once a month

We used to eat out two or three times a week.

Now, we prefer to prepare our meals at home.

We eat at restaurant maybe 4 times a year.
Normal, how we roll, is grab a meal-to-go from somewhere twice a month.
Eat at home and snack on the leftovers later.

Sounds like you treat your wife well, …and that’s a Good Thing.
About 10 years ago our 35-year-old stove started falling apart, … really!
Hubby bought me my dream stove, … a 6 burner Thermador!!
He even enjoys cooking on this beauty.

@Roz
A few years ago I rented a facility for a family gathering…..it had a full kitchen with a big Wolf, 6 burners on top with two ovens below. I get what you mean when you say your Thermador is a beauty, because I know it is. And you’re probably an excellent cook. 🙂

Whenever my wife lets me

I eat out at least 4 or 5 times a week. I try to eat healthy but that doesn’t always happen. I like going to different places to eat Retired and living the dream!

Whenever someone else pays… 😎

Not something I spend on. At a restaurant, twice in the last eight months. In February in San Bruno @ a Wendy’s and couldn’t finish the burger, but tasted yummy.

Around home here, Panera Bread ever so often if over by my Credit Union.

Far less than we used to, and we won’t go back. More money, smaller portions, surly wait staff, insufferable tipping screens, rude public, car break-ins have taken all the reasons you used to go out off the table.

One of my favorite restaurant is Buttercup in Concord and the one in Walnut Creek.

@Bella
Best bacon in the east bay (IMHO).

I just bought a Spicy Sandwich at Chick-fil-A for my son tonight that was $7.09 plus tax =$7.75 for only the sandwich.
When I saw the price I decided to skip it for myself just eat leftovers when I got home.
After seeing the In-N-Out comment I looked up the prices and see that the meal of a Cheeseburger, fries and drink there is the same as what I just paid for one item(overpriced).

Dining out takes a pretty big chunk of change these days, but you can’t beat Buttercup. Biscuits Benedict and a Bloody Mary, catching up with friends now and then…it’s worth it.

Once in a while. Have get-togethers with a couple of friends. On my own I might go to Tacos in Walnut Creek for a carnitas super burrito. So delicious. Otherwise I cook. Current favorite snack is Costco’s latest cinnamon buns that are simply the bomb. Nine buns in one pack and I ate six in one sitting (had missed lunch and dinner). Soon will head over to Tadich’s in SF. Will be having my first ever meal there.

Hardly at all. Sometimes Diggers Diner after a bargain matinee film. Food is way expensive now. I just cook at home and eat leftovers till they are gone.

Depends, for dinner not so much anymore. Usually have lunch with girlfriend, about once a month, depends on their schedule and mine. During the summer when I’m not working on the first Saturday of the month I go to a luncheon at “The Danish Soldiers Club” in Petaluma, I consider that eating out since I pay for it, it is reasonable, one month it is Danish open faced sandwiches, the next BBQ. One of my girl friends and I like to take a weekend trip usually in the fall, then we eat dinner out of course. And when I visit my girlfriend in Palm Springs we go out to dinner.

I used to go out to lunch everyday but …….
I know I’ll never eat again at Smokey Joe’s Café
And so we’ll never meet again at Smokey Joe’s Café
I’d rather eat my chili beans
At Jack’s or John’s or Jim’s or Jean’s
Than take my chances eating down at Smokey Joe’s Café
Why risk my life?……..
That Smokey Joe’s a crazy fool !

About once a month. But we do take out about twice a week. I love to cook, but sometimes take out is cheaper. We usually do taco Tuesday from Montañas $1.50 each and will grab a roasted chicken meal for $23 from Molino on Monument in Concord on a different day.
