Solano County has ordered some residents in the Cordelia area to evacuate their homes from the Nelson Fire, which started burning in vegetation Tuesday morning southeast of the Interstate Highway 80/Interstate Highway 680 interchange near the west side of Fairfield.
The order covers all residents from 2490 Cordelia Road East to Thomasson Lane, including all residents of Thomasson Lane.
The fire has prompted a fourth-alarm response and Cal Fire aircraft have been dropping retardant.
