Vehicle theft is petty theft?

Theft FROM a vehicle is if the car is not locked and the amount taken is below $900.

It’s like maybe you will get a ticket?

Sadly, yes.

I always enjoy it when the Parole violator is “released on his signed promise to appear.” Bye-Bye!

I can see where you are confused due to the sentence structure but the parole violator and the 36 years who was cited are two different people.

A parole violation, 3056 PC is a no cite/no bail arrest. He will be held in custody until they get their Morrissey hearing (contested parole violation hearing). The parolee can face up to a maximum of one year (convicts call it a bullet) of bad time (no credit for time served) for the violation.

Non-Revocable Parole in California started on Schwarzenegger’s watch.

I was kinda surprised by that…
