The “Water Cooler” is a feature on Claycord.com where we ask you a question or provide a topic, and you talk about it.
The “Water Cooler” will be up Monday-Friday at noon.
Today’s question:
QUESTION: How many times have you had COVID-19, and were your symptoms mild or severe?
Talk about it….
I believe once…I think we (my wife and I) got it early on before they even knew it was an issue. So for so good.
Me too, December 2019. Sickest I had ever been, took about a month to be able to get enough air in my lungs to walk around the block, it was miserable.
@Simonpure
Same here. Rarely get sick but the Wife and I got a bad cough between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2019. Lasted about 2 weeks and cleared up. Nothing since.
Add the Hubby and I to the list of people who were sicker than they’ve ever been with symptoms that match Covid in December 2019. Day after Christmas to first week of February to feel human again.
Once in January, 2020 before Trump announced its existance. It lasted 5 weeks. During the first week I almost went to the hospital because of trouble breathing. It was severe.
….because there was no such thing as illness prior to Convid.
How many times have I had a cold or flu? Less now that my body is not being fed junk.
Majority off sicknesses are Detox…..and then people pop pills to stop the process.
Not once that I am aware of….
None,yay
Once. Just last week.
Felt like allergies. Runny nose, stuffy sinuses, sneezing, slight cough. Never had a fever or body aches. I was tired and slept alot. Lost my taste for 2 days, back to normal now. Wife and one kid also tested positive for the week. Neither was very sick. The other kid never got it.
A big nothing burger for us!
I’ve never had COVID-19, and I doubt that I ever will. Why? Because I learned a long time ago, when I’m out and about in public, I make a conscious decision not to touch my face until I have the opportunity to wash my hands. I believe this is why I never get sick, I cannot remember the last time I had a cold or a flu. Viruses enter the body through sexual contact, an open wound, and the mucus membranes, i.e. the mouth, eyes, and nose.
Zero so far. I did have the J&J vaccine early on because my job required it, but I’ve had no boosters and I almost never wear a mask.
.
Zero… zip… nada.
.
None
But, I often get a call from friends letting me know hat someone tested positive when I was near someone who may been exposed. I would, immediately take the angitina home test. However those type of home testing kit not the most reliable. Usually I go by the symptoms.
It scary when people get a call/text/email inforning others the news. I say the earlier it is, the better it is.
It a courtesy to inforn anyone that you have covid so other can plans others things like deciding to stay home for example so you not passing it to others.
Only once….in March this year 2022. Mild, like a head cold and no fever. Lasted 4 days but was testing positive for 10 days. Hubby didn’t catch it and I don’t know where/how I got it. We are un-vaccinated.
Once, and that was post-vaccine. Had the Pfizer original two shots but no boosters.
Once, not a bad case.
If I had it it was asymptomatic. Haven’t even had a cold or flu in years. But then I’m a bit of a health nut. 😄
And it would be nice if we could get serum antibody tests over-the-counter at our local drug stores. They exist and are inexpensive but you need a clinic license to buy them. They don’t seem to want us to have them because if the test is positive then you’ve already had covid (even if asymptomatic) and probably don’t need the vaccine (Fauci even has said this). Now wouldn’t that spoil the profits of the global gangsters? 😄
Video interview with Dr. Geert Vanden Bossche about what’s coming and also at around the 40 minute mark the unavailability of the antibody tests.

None.
I was hit hard with some kind of respiratory illness at the beginning of Feb 2020 but serological testing in April was negative for antibodies against SARS-CoV2. I have had no colds, flu or other respiratory illness since. The Red Cross tested my blood for antibodies after my donation in Mar of this year and it was “Reactive +”, i.e. high titre. That was after two doses and one booster of Pfizer (the last about 4 months prior to blood donation).
You can’t catch Covid if you don’t get tested – you just catch a cold or flu.
@Yoyohop,
My wife has had more PCR COVID tests than I can remember (because of her job in health care). She has never tested positive while almost all others at her work place have at one time or another. She also hasn’t had any colds or flu since before 2020. When I was sick in 2020 it was before the shutdown and before testing was available AND before when it was thought COVID had reached the U.S. (although that was revised later).
Twice… and I survived both times. No jabs here. It’s the flu. Not a big deal for most. Just like other flus.
I had it in January if 2020. I got really sick and missed so much work. It was almost up there with when I got Norovirus
After flying round trip to another country, driving up close to the Canadian border, driving cross country 3 times, flying cross country once, going massless to Church and the grocery store for over a year, and now just completing a trip/cruise to Alaska… the troll and his wife have never had the Communist Chinese Bioweapon euphemistically known as Covid-19.
Once. Last month after returning from a cruise. Friend on cruise had to test to fly back to the states and was positive. I wasn’t flying, but tested after friend got it. Surprise, I had it. Never had any symptoms. If friend hadn’t tested, then I wouldn’t have known that I had it. I am vaccinated and boosted.
3 Times lucky me. I have been vaccinated and boosted which I think helped this time, I have it right now but it is not to bad. The 1st time I had it 2020 when it first came out I was very sick for over a month, the second time I was pretty sick for over a week and this time just a few days feeling lousy and now mild symptoms. Hopefully this is my last time.
Sorry to hear Lori. I was actually wondering if anyone has had it more than twice. I’ve heard lots of people getting it twice but haven’t heard of three times. You’re the lucky winner I guess.
Had the first two shots but no boosters. We have test kits but have never used one. There have been days not feeling well when I thought I would try a test kit but never have. Other than grocery stores and a few restaurants we are not in large crowds. No masks.
Have always been interested in ancient civilizations and why they had these great things going on but disappeared. I now have a new theory. The Chinese did it. Take a break I am joking.
None. Zero
Everyone has been exposed to Covid. You either got it, or transmitted it. You may not have had the full “it” yet, but give it time, your turn will come around. It’s a virus, it mutates.
As for my vaxxed friends, most are on round two, one friend on round four. As for my friends that are not vaxxed, so far it’s been one and done.
YMMV
Before the Xi Jingping Flu, I had not been sick (except maybe sore throat) for a few years. During the wuhan-gift-to-the-world flu shut down, up until today, I have had one cold, that tested negative for the vid, and I knew it was a cold. Other than that, nothing, and unless my snot test was a false negative, I have not suffered chinese bat fever.
Nope Never
No “CLOT SHOT” either. Take vitamin D, zinc, vitamin C, and a multi vitamin
twice a day. I have some ivermectin just in case.
Need a TEST to tell me if I’m sick???? Really!
I am a smoker, a little overweight and 68 years old. According to Lord Fauci,
I should be DEAD!
Exactly, Otis.
A “test” to see if you’re sick???
I suppose these same people will go to ask the Coroner if they’re dead.
No Covid yet. I’ve had the first two shots and two boosters, both Moderna.
I have never caught covid. I have never tested for covid. No shots and no boosters. I go mask less and have not had a cold or flu in years. Same for spouse.
N O N E…never even opened the free* tester kits.
* another billion added to the Deficit
By looking at all the responses it looks like everyone is accounted for except the one million plus Americans that died from COVID.
It’s not working. Do a tic toc dance bill, maybe that will work.
.
@Bill
… one million+ US deaths directly because of Covid or one million+ deaths with Covid in addition to other conditions?
.
The latter is called “co-morbidity”.
.
You should be more suspect of citing the data unless you have read and understand the underlying assumptions and definitions.
.
@Bill
Would you and everyone else saying that, please stop? One million plus Americans DID NOT die from covid.
@Bill, by looking at the responses, has it ever occurred to you that the government has been lying to us?
2X. Had the Pfizer Vax last year, but never boosted. Had a mild case in November and then last month was hit really hard with. Lasted 8 days. No fun.
None. None at all and I have been out living my life. I have been ALL OVER the place with a ton of unmasked people throughout this entire time. Didn’t get it once, and I get tested at work every single day. Even got the vaccine late in the game as well (although at this point, it seems being vaccinated is a risk to getting covid).
@Oh, please… Johnny’s been all over to………….
https://youtu.be/iayM2YfQiCA
None and not vaxxed and I’m still alive. I’m the meantime all my friends who are on their 4th shot have gotten covid.
None. Vaxxed and boosted and back to wearing a mask in indoor public spaces.
That didn’t help fauci now did it. But thanks for being a complete tool. I love seeing the people wearing the mask. It confirms to me we need to open Napa state hospital again.
Twice, lasted about a month each time. Still have Covid Long after 2 years.
That sucks. I hope you kick it soon.
None that I know of. Hubby got it last fall and coughed and hacked all over me for weeks, but I never even got a sniffle.
A few months ago, I had a cold for two days…so maybe? But I have never and will never test for a cold. I am unvaxxed and unmasked, BTW.
I know literally scores of people who have or are testing positive, and ALL ARE VAXXED…including my oldest child. Negative efficacy of the vax is certainly proving to be true!
Never that I am aware off. Never been tested either.
I may have had it once before all the hoopla started.
Other than that, I haven’t been ill once.
Exercise, healthy food, keeping clean, and avoiding crowds helped me stay healthy, I believe.
First time was the worst … had pneumonia fully … but had some bowls of pho ga from the old lady down the street … kicked it in about 10 days … but it did suck … BIG TIME … but now, it’s like meh … I eat it on sandwiches … nothing but a thang … what else ya got Willy G???
Caught it for first time after week of international trade show in vegas early June. Follow up conversations put the attendee Covid at approximately 40% positive post show. Whole booths staff caught it…
Like professor I was very lucky and just had mild symptoms no fever stuffy nose slight cough but I did lose my sense of smell and taste for a few days and that was awful.
