Talk about it.

It did not go the way I would have liked it to go, but it did go the way I expected it to go. It seems to me that too many voters don’t use their heads when voting. They listen to talk show hosts and pundits, they may be influenced by the mailers they get in the mail. I keep hearing pundits saying things like, “the American people aren’t stupid,” but I disagree, re-electing Gavin Newsom, and Diana Becton, in my opinion, is extremely stupid.

AMEN!!!! Voters are tricked and manipulated into voting for the bad ones!!

Our society is now set-up so the Stupids can survive at the expense of the Smarts. Poll your liberal acquaintances and most likely have spawn that has/will engage in some sort of criminal, or at the very least, anti-social behavior. They are comfortable with familiar surroundings which is no problem if they are the ONLY ones affected by crime. Fingers crossed.

Your opinion is correct

I agree with all of Dawg’s statements. It is incomprehensible why people continue to vote for the California regime that destroys the quality of life for its residents. Nothing changes for the better if nothing changes.

There wasn’t a good enough turn out for candidates
Where was the corrupt Larry Elder or the great John Cox? I didn’t even see one add for Governor on TV. It doesn’t sound like the Republicans were trying at all.

Interesting, you don’t watch news talk shows or listen to news talk radio?

100%!

exactly.

Contra Costa will be sorry they re elected Diane Becton as DA.
Super glad to see Boudin kicked out in SF-He was single handedly ruining that city..

Ditto

R E C A L L!!!!!!

Too bad she was endorsed by major papers, the Democratic Party, Planned Parenthood, etc. She needs to do her job. The way it looks, she is trying to clean out the County of decent law abiding people.!

We literally just had an election this week. Why on Earth would we waste money on a recall, when voters just chose a DA..?

When I saw the Chesa got recalled, I had hope for us. However I guess there are just too many people out there that need things to get worse before they realize we need a change at the DA’s office.
Things are going to get ugly folks. Watch the home invasion robbery on KTVU from San Jose. A couple of ‘future astronauts’ held a man and his 12 month old baby at gunpoint.

I expected a rigged election, and we got a rigged election.

Livingston- 67,000 votes
Opponent- 43,000 votes

Gus Kramer- 63,000 votes
Opponent- 46,000 votes

Becton 63,000 “votes”
Opponent- 49,000 “votes”

How many Kramer voters and Livingston voters do you think would vote for Becton? I would say zero but according to the results, approximately 20,000 voters voted for Kramer or Livingston and then miraculously supported a George Soros backed Marxist for DA. Like my accountant always says ” This doesn’t pass the smell test.”

It is not a shock when there are over 700k registered voters in CCC alone and less than 110k sent in ballots. The families of criminals and anchor babies voted for her as did all the WOKE. The conservatives didn’t get their votes in and now we are stuck with lawlessness. Anyone who didn’t actually vote needs to keep their complaints to themselves. I made sure I got everyone in my family to vote by begging them as they didn’t want to bother. They all feel like Buck in Call of The Wild beaten into submission by crazy liberals.

If it doesn’t turn out the way you want it to be it must be rigged!

Contra Costa County Elections
ELECTIONS DIVISION – DEBORAH R. COOPER, COUNTY CLERK-RECORDER-REGISTRAR
VOTER STATISTICS
Registered Voters as of 06/08/22
Total 702,654
Democrat: 378,299
Republican: 129,134
Other: 195,221
Becton won on just the large number of Democrats registered to vote. She didn’t need a high percentage showing up to vote.

A lot of uninformed voters just vote for the incumbent, sadly.

@Snakekeeper – I didn’t realize Hillary Clinton and Stacy Abrams were on the ballot. How the hell did I miss that?

Seems like a pretty goofy conspiracy concept. Why would anyone rig an election for Becton and not also rig it for every other liberal candidate?

Everyone I talked with voted for Mary Knox. Soros won again. Let the criminals run rampant.

How can Livingston, a law and order candidate, and Carlson a retired PD officer and a radical Marxist DA be selected by a majority on the same ballot? Doesn’t make sense. There was a radical Soros Sheriff candidate. Why didn’t he win along with Becton? There must be a large amount of single selection ballots for Becton? This needs to be discussed by Mary Knox and the county election office urgently.

CA will elect Gavin Newsom in Nov 2022.

He defeated recall and won the primary by an overwhelming majority. Mostly mail in voting and your typical masked/jabbed blue pilled normie CA resident will continue to keep status quo. Perhaps things can turn out different if normies can’t keep the $100K Tesla charged, can’t get an iPhone for $1K, or order $20 avocado toast at the local coffee shop.

Look to see Gavin run for the democratic ticket for the white house. He’s already choosing the color of drapes in the oval office. By then we’ll see CA initiatives applied at a national level. We live in interesting times.

Yes Newsom has his eye on the White House! That’s his life’s dream!
He’s promising for America what he ‘did for California.’. Oh boy! I Wonder how many idiots out there will buy that as being good?

I want to cry. Gavin is ruining our State and shootings will continue with
no consequences. I truly feel aliens have landed and taken over our once decent Sunshine State.

One surprise: SF D.A. recalled. Even whackos don’t like crime when it’s in THEIR backyard.

I don’t understand the choice for Becton. The lawlessness in Contra Costa County is getting worse. I guess we can look forward to more burglaries, sideshows, retail thefts, home invasions, homicides, car thefts and shootings etc… If the law doesn’t take care of us law abiding taxpayers than they should allow us to take things into our own hands.

No surprises, we’ll see nothing done on Crime, Drugs, and Homeless other than throw money at it … CA will continue to bleed tax payers only to be replaced with a population requiring Services.

Only one race did, And I didn’t even have a vote. I don’t live in SF.

no….. too many just go with the incumbent / status quo instead of realizing what they are doing…. lazy and irresponsible. With the open borders we’ve had that guarantees votes for the establishment that is the status quo … sad.. more years of criminal ruin also 🙁

My sentiment is similar to Dawg’s above. It did not go the way I would have liked, but did go the way I expected. I do know 18% turnout is rather pathetic, but am kind of of the feeling it is a blessing. The biggest disappointment is becton being elected. Are CCC residents that distanced from the news of increased crime with decreased prosecution? I will say, biden’s performance actually improves the perception of newsom’s performance, such that it is. Also telling is that NOBODY bothered to run against desaulnier, knowing how futile that would be, and not because of gigantic statesmanship by him, just incumbency protecting his seat.

Was it as usual ???
Most advertising, . . . . . wins ?

Would appear CA voters haven’t experienced enough personal inconvenience yet from those emptying our prisons, coddling criminals and newest waste of taxpayer dollars, enabling slow suicide by those putting chemicals into their bodies.

Maybe next election ?

Degree of voter inconvenience will have to outweigh daily preoccupation of what’s for dinner, number of signal bars on their mobile devices and latest crisis besetting self absorbed over endowed airheads with their own TV show.

Keep in mind FIVE HUNDRED PLUS UNION jobs at Pittsburg steel plant will end when current customer contracts end. Because CA and CoCo county are anti business.

LIVING WAGE JOBS for past 110 years, . . . GONE ! !

Voter Apathy = You get what you get….

I am not happy for the same reason I haven’t been happy about our election results for many years. Biased left wing reporting of the news and the candidates. Coupled with people who don’t vote or those who don’t know what they are voting for will keep us under the left’s wings.

Nope. Can’t believe Becton was re-elected.

Becton bought her election with far left out of area big donors like George Soros. I heard it was over a million dollars.

Somebody needs to go back once the final fundraising facts are in and tell us what it cost Becton to buy each vote.

Thanks to a conservative Supreme Court, there’s no limit on campaign spending. See “Citizens United v. FEC” and “McCutcheon v. FEC”, for example.

Using startpage dot com search engine past following into search box.
“soros” “contra costa county”
Numerous pieces return with info on money . . .

Glad we’re keeping our Sheriff, sad we’re keeping our DA. Though I don’t live in SF, very glad that Boudin will be gone!

People in high crime areas voted for Becton because they need her or don’t know any better. People in towns without of a lot of crime have White Guilt or don’t care what happens in high crime areas. As usual in the libs zeal to be fair they hurt the people who they are trying to help. They have no clue.

I was distressed to receive confirmation that I live amongst idiots who voted for Diana Becton to continue her asinine policies.

Advice given by these idiots on Nextdoor…stop wearing your jewelry in WC and you won’t get mugged. It’s difficult to accept that the citizens of SF are smarter than those out here in the east bay.

Where were all the Republican Votes?

What Republican votes? Just because you think there are a lot of you doesn’t mean there are.

I hope my vote counted.

That’s a good question, Bill……considering I put my completed ballot into a duffle bag and have no way of knowing if my selections counted or not.

I dunno……….did all democrats get voted out?

Don’t cry for Chesa. Chesa Boudin will now “fail upwards”. He is going to be rewarded by the international leftist regime headed by the WEF. He will surely run for a state or even national office next and will “win”. He is their perfect candidate almost as good as Obama. He didn’t just “ pal around with terrorists” as said by Palin about Obama, he was raised by radical leftists. The Democrats work against the constitution and America as a country. The more damage they do the more rewards they receive.

I can’t believe the stupid people of California still want Newscum. The end of our state is coming.

Sigh.

The culture of the average CA voters is complacency.

They refuse to be responsible citizens.

They ignore the responsibilities of freedom.

17.95% of the eligible voters voted.

Didn’t go as I wanted it too at all but it did go exactly as I knew it would.

Nothing was going to change no matter who we voted for….It simply was not going to happen and it didn’t.

And the truth is this is what we can all expect moving forward….it just isn’t our call anymore.

The election didn’t go the way I had hoped but, I will sleep like baby knowing that I did my “civic duty” by not voting for a single Democrat!

So you didn’t vote in the DA race; both candidates are Democrats?

I believe most independents and republicans voted more than the left sided mentally challenged folks out there. somehow ended up being hijacked.

It seems to me the pasty white Liberal females put Diana Becton back into office so I’m 😞. Maybe Gavin will consider her for the A.G. position when he arrives in D.C.

The Pasty White Liberal Highly Humanitarian Females are just trying to keep their low achieving grand-spawn out of jail.

Those of us who are still with common sense and do our own research should not be surprised how this election turned out. We will never get back on track if we keep allowing these progressives to run our area and country. We should start doing what the progressives do -declare ourselves democrats and fun for office, get elected and then do what we want to do. Maybe that way we can turn things around. It seems to work for them. IMHO

@sam malone
Now that’s a good idea.

On a side note, seeing your moniker always reminds me of an episode of Frasier where Sam showed up in Seattle to get married. Telling Frasier about his fiancee, Sam said she’s one in a million. Frasier’s response: “For most guys, that’s just an expression”.
