The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning on Sunday for gusty winds and low humidity in areas of Northern California, according to a release from Cal Fire’s Sonoma-Lake-Napa unit.
The warning will be in effect from 11 a.m. Monday to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
A Red Flag Warning means critical fire weather conditions are forecasted. A combination of low relative humidity, high winds, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. Winds are forecasted to gust up to 35 mph, and low relative humidity values of 5-15 percent.
Cal Fire says the greatest threat is on the west side of the Sacramento Valley, mostly along and west of Interstate 5.
