QUESTION: A few years ago, we asked you if you thought gas would ever reach $6 a gallon. Well, it has. Now we gotta ask, do you think it will ever reach $10 a gallon?

I know this is hard to comprehend, but the President has nothing to do with California’s gas prices… he’s an easy target but wrong man to blame.
That’s been Biden’s agenda since day one, when he attacked the oil industry, with the intent of raising prices to make the alternatives seem affordable. He has succeeded in raising prices across the board for everything Americans need to survive.

I agree, Joe Biden did it on day one in office. Of course the Democrats are trying to blame everything else for it. And actually Joe biden’s probably responsible for Russia attacking Ukraine because it was our buying their oil that enriched Russia to fund the offensive.

Obviously, high fuel prices are being used to force you to buy an electric vehicle.
Yeah electric vehicles that we won’t be able to charge because theres not enough power grid to supply. And of course the Democrat liberals in greenies are against building any new power plants. They’re also against building any new dams they could save water and generate electricity. And wind and solar do not work at night time. It’s going to come to a head folks. we’re all going to be in electric vehicles and go nowhere.

@Fred. Biden’s policies are creating needless energy shortages. To make matters worse, the Democrats want to impose an “excess-profits tax” on energy companies. The also want to put price controls on gasoline and diesel. When Jimmy Carter was President, in the 1970s, similar policies caused gas shortages, and people had to wait in line for hours at gas stations.

I believe there is a misunderstanding.
When Biden says the buck stops with him, he means that he keeps the bucks. That’s really quite different.

There are a lot of facets to that question. Are we talking about 2022 dollars? If not, then $10/gal might cost the same in future dollars as $6/gal gas today with inflation. It seems to me that at some point the cost of petroleum must exceed the price of other feedstocks and that would mitigate against constantly rising gas prices in real dollars. In the short term, however, all kinds of factors, e.g. war, refinery shutdowns, natural disasters, etc. can result in transient price spikes. Another factor is government policy, taxation and regulation which can all affect gasoline prices.
Inflation marches on. So, definitely gas will eventually reach $10/gal unless we stop using it as a fuel.
Just give the Dems time, they are jacking it up in July and are just getting started!

I’ve said, off and on, for years that it would get to $5 a gal. I don’t think I expected $6+ like it is currently. So $10 is within possible.
Gas will cost $9.99 9/10 by the end of the year.
And who would have ever thought a townhome in Walnut Creek with HOA monthly fees of close to $500 in WC would ever sell for over a million dollars.
And now because of that million dollar price, the property taxes will be over a thousand a month.

I will work around gas prices when they start to break my budget. I guess.
Keep voting democrat and it will reach $10 a gallon no problem. I can think of one major democrat city that runs well.
Unless there is a new energy resource that replace gas, or the government impose a price ceiling for gas (like rent control), the price of gas will constantly goes up to keep up with inflation or the greed of the oil producers. See the historical price of gas through the years.
I think the $6/gal is going to stay for a few years because I think the government is giving the gas producers the opportunity to maximize profit before the roads are filled with electric cars. There also will be less demand for gas because of strict regulations on internal combustible engine (California already want to ban gas powered garden equipments).
The current administration has no love loss for the fossil fuel industry at all. Hence no breaks or opportunities for them, ever.
The demand for gasoline will not change. People, will simply stop donating to their favorite causes and instead use that money to finance their drive to work. Charitable causes will fail.
Further, as long as the spread between interest rates and the inflation rate is profound, the Biden induced inflation will continue. Even though our fed chairman is not qualified, he will be forced into several consecutive interest rate hikes. So financing that electric vehicle for many people will no longer be possible. With everyone’s retirement plan in the tank, people will drive their old fossil fuel vehicle several years longer than they had planned to. Simple economics.
The Biden/Newsom vision looks a lot like Cuba.
I said a couple of months ago that people will look back and see $7 gas as a bargain.

Now everyone is complaining, but at least we still have a Constitution in this country that allows us to voice our opinion without having the Gestapo or other form of secret police come and take us away permanently. But with the way things are going, it may only be a matter of time before we are at a point like that.
Kleptofornica gas prices are about $2a gallon more expensive than the rest of the nation. Gavin and the Democrats own that.
Canceling Keystone and gas/oil lease sales contribute to higher gas and oil prices nationally. Biden and the Democrats own that.
The people who voted for Democrats are ultimately responsible for this crisis but everyone has to pay for their mistake.

Concerned you need to open your mind as this is all on Biden this plan started a week before Biden took office as gas went up 10 cents in the bay area then after 2 weeks it was up 30 cents and just before the war it was up $2 and look now C mon people wake up!

The typical Democrat voter shows little remorse for destructive Democrat policies as shown in Biden’s latest poll numbers where 73% of Democrats still support him. Short term-meaning the next year and a half we could see $8 gas.Long term prices will fall back to a $5 level. We probably will never see $4 again. The Mullahs & Dictators who control some of the largest oil reserves must be salivating.
