A jury on Wednesday found a former Antioch man guilty of two counts of forcible sexual abuse of a child under 13 and displaying harmful material to a minor.
Henry Cordon, 36, was convicted in Contra Costa Couty Superior Court in Martinez. The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office said in a press release Cordon was arrested in May 2019 by the sheriff’s office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force at his home, after investigators found child sexual abuse material on his devices and in his e-mail account. He’s been in custody since then.
Prosecutors said between May 1, 2017, and September 1, 2017, Cordon used sexually graphic images to arouse the victim in violation of California Penal code section 288.2 in Contra Costa and Stanislaus counties.
While in custody, Antioch Police officers took a report from the mother of the victim indicating her child had been sexually abused by Cordon in 2017.
Cordon was sentenced on Sept. 16, 2020 to six-and-a-half years in prison for receipt and possession of child pornography, stemming from a May 2019 investigation. Once his Contra Costa case concludes, Cordon will be extradited to Florida to face federal charges alleging he produced child pornography in 2011 with another victim.
Cordon will be sentenced in Contra Costa on July 22, 2021. He faces a maximum penalty of 25 years in state prison.
All the good people (who aren’t naive) moved out of Antioch Pittsburg years ago.
