A fire department vehicle was involved in a vehicle collision on Oak Grove Rd. at Minert Rd. in Concord this afternoon just after 1 p.m.
Minor injuries were reported.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
Thanks to Terrence for the photos from above. Click on each one for a much larger view.
Yikes! Shame there were even minor injuries. That is not one of the better (roomier?) intersections in this city.
Nice images. I guess Torrance has a drone.
I agree these are nice shots, but Torrance needs to understand that neither the FAA nor the police are going to be happy with a drone operator hovering over an active crime investigation. He MAY be getting a visit he doesn’t want to get. Best to stand off a bit next time. (I say this as a licensed Part 107 UAS pilot.)
I noticed the police cruiser doesn’t have a number on the roof. They usually have the number, so they can be seen from the air.
Not sure if this was the cause, but many drivers are not pulling over to give room to emergency vehicles with lights and sirens on. Please follow the rules when being approached from any direction by these vehicles and do whatever you can to get out of their way, or stay still if they have room to get around you.
.
Well, it appears the nose was sheared off on the white car.
My conclusion is a motorist, not sure which one, ran a red light.
@Caloldbear.. As long as no Emergency Aircraft or has been detached to the scene, there is nothing in Section 107 that prohibits an operator from filming or taking photos of a traffic accident on a street unless there is an ongoing threat to the public, officers and emergency crews. (L107).
