Starting next month, eventgoers attending San Francisco’s Chase Center will no longer have to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test result, Chase Center officials said on Monday.
The newly updated regulations at the Golden State Warriors’ home venue will go into effect on April 1 and are in accordance with the San Francisco Department of Public Health’s most recent health order.
Earlier this month, SFDPH officials announced it was lifting its proof of vaccination requirement for several indoor businesses, citing declining COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations locally, as well as the city’s overall high vaccination rate. Despite the eased restrictions, city officials said individual businesses would still be able to implement their own proof of vaccination requirements if they deemed it necessary.
According to Chase Center officials, although the basketball game and concert venue will drop the vaccination and negative test requirement, all eventgoers who are not vaccinated are still required to wear a mask within the Chase Center at all times unless they’re actively eating or drinking. Those who don’t comply could be asked to leave the venue.
More information about the updated policies and other ways to stay safe while attending Chase Center events can be found at www.chasecenter.com/fan-safety.
I won’t ever go there regardless.
SF is way behind the rest of the State, speaking of which, Newscum has yet to lift the State of Emergency order. Since he didn’t get recalled, guess he thinks he can continue on with his dictatorial decrees.
Zero percent chance of MoJo coming within 10 square miles of the Chase Center however I do predict the vaccine requirement will rear its ugly head once again when the stealth variant surges.
That will change. The BA.2 variant is going to be here full-force in just a few weeks time. Meanwhile, I’m continuing to wear a mask in public indoor spaces. I believe in science.
Science isn’t a belief system you clown.
@concord Guy….Is it hard to sit in a chair without a spine?…. inquiring minds want to know.
Science is not something you believe in, it is a process where by you form a hypothesis (guess what will happen) and then test it through experimentation to see if your hypothesis is correct or not. If you look at the actual data and evidence, then you will see that the CDC and Fauci have at best been manipulating the data to fit their preexisting hypothesis, or at worst lied to every one to push a specific policy. Science is about skepticism and questioning what we think we know, not blindly accepting or believing what an “expert” says. That is more a kin to a religion or cult. Question Everything!
@concord Guy
Apparently, this new variant is a watered-down version of Omicron being more contagious but with milder symptoms. Masks are over.
Really? Because that sounds like you don’t know what science is…
I haven’t been to SF in 5 years and don’t plan to return.
If they are not going to require proof of vaccination or a negative test, how would they know if you need to wear an obedience mask or not. Don’t ask, don’t tell.
Crazy how they went from boosters and masks required to nothing at all. How long before Newsom and Breed reverse this? I say before the playoffs even begin.
@concord Guy, you keep on wearing that mask while SF keeps allowing people to poop on the sidewalk.
I refuse to patronize any business that is part of the Covid Industrial Complex
Me too. If there is a sign on the door that says masks required. I will go to a different business that doesn’t have that on their door.
And yet there are still companies out there, that do not interface with the public-not in health care-etc, etc, who are requiring all employees to take weekly testing and perform daily screenings before you show up to work. And for those who can work remotely (have not been on the campus for >2 years) they have to be vaccinated or fired.
Only in California ….
