San Ramon Police said Sunday night they found the pair of teen missing since last week.
“We are happy to report that both Ruby and Mina were located within the past hour through a coordinated effort between a community member and our Investigations Division. Both girls are in good health and were reunited with their families,” police tweeted at 9:16 p.m.
Marybel “Ruby” Gonzales, 16, and Aaminah “Mina” Khan, 14, were believed to be runaways.
Their parents reported them missing on Wednesday. Police said earlier Sunday the girls were sighted and communicating with other local youths via social media.
Good to hear after some dumb lady called WCPD on Saturday on my 13 year old daughter who was at Mountain Mikes in Ygnacio plaza, thinking she was one of the girls missing!!! FYI: my daughter looks NOTHING like either one that was missing! 🙄 It was really traumatizing on my 17 and 13 year old daughters being pulled over by WCPD!
Oh, poo on u
be glad someone cared enough to call
Hopefully you’re never in a position to have your daughters run away and have “some dumb lady” call the police because she is being a good citizen and thinks she may have seen the missing girls. Perhaps your daughter is not mature enough to be driving alone if being pulled over was too traumatizing for her.
Also @AAA why are you assuming my daughter was driving alone? She actually wasn’t BTW!
Oh for Pete’s sake, many Hispanic/Mexicns are white af too. And if you aren’t prepared to be stopped by LE at any time you shouldn’t be on the road. They’re working on keeping you and everyone safe.
I am delighted that the girls have been found.
.
Congrats.

Now affix a GPS-enabled ankle monitor to each child.
Put them on restriction until the end of the school year. Summer school or a job at a kids summer camp to keep them busy and teach them responsibility. And inmthe meantime make them watch CSI or Law and Order SVU to show them what can happen to runaways.
Good they were found before trouble found them.
Get these girls involved in sports
Have the parents pay for all of the time that Law Enforcement wasted looking for these two. That will send a clear message to others that waste the resources of the rest of us for kids who think this is fun to scare a community.
