Ok…they’re released on their “signed promise to appear”…so you really think they’ll appear? They committed a crime! If they don’t have the morals and integrity to follow the laws and be honest, what makes the government think they’ll actually appear ?? I really don’t understand things these days!

I STRONGLY agree with you! Hike their putrid shoulder blades down to the jail and book them!

Wrong questions.

Why are we arresting people for drug possession?
Does jail heal drug use?
Is the way in drugs a massive waste of money?

Why are we arresting people for drug possession? Because it’s against the law, and it’s not up to the police to decide which laws they want to enforce. But, if it makes you feel any better, the DA probably won’t prosecute them. They’ll be released to steal more stuff from people like us so they can buy some more.

A very heavy crystal candlestick is missing from my home. It has about a four-inch clear glass base and about a seven-inch shaft, also square, with the remnants of a white candle last burned in the 1970s. As I mentioned, it is very heavy. It was taken sometime between the end of January and about the 9th of February. It is one of my favorite things. If this candlestick shows up at your house, please know that it was stolen from me.

As I have mentioned before, anything that is taken from my home without my permission goes out the door with a curse attached and whoever took it will soon regret that he or she did so.. The only way to remove the curse is to return the items. Leave them on the porch near the door. No questions asked.

Also missing are three crystal white wine glasses and a matching decanter which also left with a curse attached. Return to the porch where they were stolen and the curse will be lifted. If three white wine glasses and a matching decanter show up at your house, please know they were stolen from me and they only way to remove the curse is to return them unbroken and in tact.

Some criminal cretin is probably drinking RED wine from those glasses right now…… so the joke’s on him!

Be careful casting curses or spells Gittyup… remember that the basic rule is the energy you cast upon others, good or bad, will return to you threefold, so if you send a bad curse you gotta be ready to deal with that….. and the paranoia you will experience waiting for it to happen…. start hearing voices in the wind and notice odd animals violently glaring at you… but that stuff is worth it if you really want revenge…… and provided you actually believe in that crap…… One never knows…. do one?

My curse has a self-protective.clause.

@ Jellyfinger I WANT MY STUFF BACK. These are items of the highest sentimental value to me and it hurts my heart to lose them. The person taking them is a cruel and contemptible bastard. I have carted these items around on my many moves since the 1970s because they mean so much to me.

The wine glasses were a house-warming gift to me on my first apartment from my now-deceased mother. They are irreplaceable. She did not approve of my drinking, but they were symbolic of her acceptance that, as an adult living on my own, I would make my own decisions. I’m not good with glass stuff, but I had managed to keep the four glasses and decanter in tact through all those moves.

The candlestick likewise. I want to die as I sit here and watch everything meaningful to me being taken away by some cruel and thoughtless scumbag.

Well OK Gittyup…. let me get serious & ask was your home broken into or do you suspect someone who had access?

Maybe someone who wanted those specific items?
Even a relative? Youngsters?

They don’t seem to be the kind of items typically stolen by a common burglar.

and……..

If you don’t already have a home security system I suggest you get one…. I have the Blink system, it detects movement from multiple cameras, alerts me and records everything. I see every one who drops off a package, drives by the home, walks down the levee and every opossum, skunk, fox and raccoon that comes by at night.

The system is wireless and installs in minutes. I’ve had it over a year and have not even had to replace a battery yet! No monitoring subscription or any kind of fees involved.

I hope you get your things back.

@ Jellyfinger Where did you get the Blink system and does it run on its own WiFi?

@Jelyfinger I had a security camera that ran CCTV off of my internet connection per a suggestion from the police as a deterrant. Whoever is coming in, they enter freely so they must have keys, just turned off the wifi as they entered when I was not home. I was gone one time for 30 minutes to pick up take out and discovered when I got back that they had left a window open. It is someone close by.. I am looking into security systems. The police want video. Meanwhile, I’m afraid to go anywhere. On Next Door, I discovered several others who have had similar problems. Odd things like towels and washcloths missing. Someone is furnishing their house with our stuff.
