The Contra Costa County Office of Education (CCCOE) is hosting a county-wide Certificated Job Fair on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Alhambra High School in Martinez from 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Representatives from 20 school districts and charter schools will be in attendance, as well as four universities to discuss credential programs and options for current classified and certificated staff to further their education.

Representatives from around the county are looking for qualified educators to fill full-time teaching positions, certificated support staff, as well as substitute teaching and higher education openings. Attendees are encouraged to be prepared for interviews as some districts plan to conduct interviews on-site.

“If you are interested in working in education and have a passion for working with students, this is a great event to discover opportunities in the county,” Lynn Mackey, Contra Costa County Superintendent of Schools, said. “We are facing teacher and substitute teacher shortages throughout the state, and our schools and students are in need of qualified educators in the classrooms. This is a good time for those thinking about joining the field or looking to get back in to get into teaching.”

Doubt MDUSD will be there.

Heard the District’s Administration just released a list of a multitude of classified and certificated jobs they intend to layoff.

Heard the Teacher Union is calling it scare tactics.

The flyer says MDUSD is going to be there. But, if you check their board meeting agenda for this week, they have an item for a resolution to cut $8 million+ in positions. The specific list was sent to MDUSD parents by the superintendent.

Is that really the district you want to look for a job in?

Is that really the district you want your children in?

MDUSD needs to be disbanded.

It’s fully corrupted. It’s been fully corrupted for decades.

The schools should be absorbed into neighboring school districts.
