QUESTION: Do you think all California cities and counties should immediately lift their mask mandates after California Governor Gavin Newsom and the Mayors of SF and LA (along with almost the entire crowd) were seen maskless at the Rams -vs- 49ers game over the weekend?

It’s said “What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.” In this case both the goose and gander had no masks. Some can play follow the leaders. For the rest of us, maybe a personal option rather than a demand.

I think masks should be optional for all people except for Breed and Newsom… they are mandated to wear one the rest of their lives.
Yes! I’ve been following it this whole time, but enough is enough. Omicron + vaccines have brought herd immunity. Health officials should lift restrictions as quickly as they implemented them otherwise it erodes credibility.
Yes, it is time to leave it up to the individual. Lead by example is not happening here. With that said, it is extremely clear and has been, that those who are against will do what they want anyway.

YES!!! If Newsom and friends don’t follow their own rules then why should the rest of us have to? If you want to wear one, go for it, but it’s obvious that they don’t work and all these unmasked people will be seen in 2 weeks at the Super Bowl.
Follow the science and what most other sane states have done and ditch the Mask Mania Mandates. Wear one if you wish, but end the tyranny for everyone else.

Yes! Less than 10 states have a mask mandate (blue, purple and red) and at this point masks should be optional. Unless you’re wearing an N95(and most people aren’t) your mask is doing very little if any good anyway.
Newsom is, quite frankly, a horrible excuse for a “leader.” Typical do as I mandate, not as I do, and then lie when confronted. That aside, the mask mandate is ridiculous, and not only should be lifted, but should have never been ruled from our benevolent nannies to begin with.
Absolutely! They need to be gone with the mandate. Let individuals who want to wear them, wear them. Let the rest of us be free. I was recently out of state and there was no mandate and people were still wearing masks if they wanted, mostly elderly but I think we are at a point where is should be a personal decision not a mandated one.
I have known many people who have followed the guideline to the extreme and still contracted COVID; yet me and my family who have mostly been following but not 100% have yet to contract COVID (knock on wood).

I agree with Yes Yes Yes. Wear them if you want but make them non mandatory. Especially for kids in school.
Meanwhile kids in schools are getting yelled at/punished for not wearing masks properly. It’s sad really!

It insane the way the yard duty and teachers scream at the high school kids in Martinez if their nose is exposed for a second to breath some unmasked air. Total abuse of “ power” . Quite disgusting.
Also, kids that haven’t been jabbed with the experimental covid 19 therapy are not allowed to go to the AHS senior all-nighter.

We have to ask ourselves if it’s that bad when elected officials don’t wear masks. Covid numbers are inflated. They know it but don’t want the general public to know it.

Yes, like yesterday. Denver just lifted their mask mandates earlier this week (although kept masks on kids in schools apparently b/c leftists like torturing children or something).

Yes, especially if you are vaccinated and boosted. Also should be for the kids. It’s frustrating to walk by restaurants and see them packed with people with no masks and then to think my kids have to wear one all day. It doesn’t make sense. Also, my kids got Covid while being masked at school. I dont think they work for the kids anyway.

Personally, I like not having to see other people’s faces; and, I imagine, they like not having to see my ugly mug either. So, for those reasons, I’m in favor of mask wearing; but, that has nothing to do with Covid.

They should have never been implemented in the first place. But since they were in some places, study after study are now showing that cloth masks and medical masks are ineffective at stopping human to human transmission of covid 19. My analogy since the beginning was that wearing a mask to stop a virus, is like using a chain link fence to keep mosquitos out of your house.
