Perhaps not what I considered my favorite Christmas tradition, until last night. I would read my kids “A Visit From Saint Nciholas” by Clement C Moore every Christmas Eve. Last night, I said I was going to be bed, tired, and both my kids (now in their 20’s) asked me if I was going to read the poem. I said one of them could read it, but they wouldn’t have it. So, that would be a favorite tradition, if it makes my kids so happy.
Merry Christmas, or Happy Hannukah, if appropriate.

Driving around looking at decorated and lit up homes with my daughter. It’s something she has enjoyed since she was a little girl, and she still enjoys it.

My traditional Danish Christmas meal, I think I have described it here before so won’t bore Claycord readers with a description. Also The Scandinavian Club’s Christmas dinner, held in San Francisco at the Norwegian Club on 1900 Fell Street, it is a sit down dinner, and about 100 attendees. Since 1984 when I joined the Club I have only missed two, one due to Covid (there was no dinner that year) and one other when I was sick.
