Police arrested a fourth suspect involved in an 80-person retail theft stint at Walnut Creek’s Broadway Plaza Nordstrom, the Walnut Creek Police Department announced on Wednesday.
A group of people bombarded the retail location and stole merchandise shortly before 9 p.m. on Nov. 20, according to witness reports. Police say two employees were assaulted and one was pepper sprayed by the suspects.
Upon arrival at scene, police officers successfully stopped one car and arrested two people, one in possession of a firearm. Another suspect was arrested in possession of stolen property shortly after, according to a police press release.
Upon further investigation, Walnut Creek Police arrested 21-year-old Jordan San Felipe as a suspect on Tuesday. He was booked into the Martinez detention facility for charges relating to robbery, burglary, possession of stolen property and organized retail theft.
Police say they will continue to investigate the incident and review surveillance footage to make additional arrests.
Police urge anyone with more information on the case to contact Detective Deng at deng@walnutcreekpd.com
This is frustrating for the police, residents and retailers that these will all be out on the streets tomorrow.
The new gold mine according to the DA is going after motorists, Even if motorist was involved in an accident.
See latest charges of two elderly drivers in Lafayette.
Four down seventy-six to go.
Is Jordan San Felipe still in jail?
If he is wouldn’t the DA consider that cruel and unusual punishment?
She’d release him with no further charges.
But, what if his name was Jordan Smith?
Completely different outcome.
Great job WCP for catching this creep.
I would bet that most of the cars involved contained guns.
Two have been released already before even going to court.
They need to charge this loser with the ENTIRE robbery, unless he starts naming names.
Arrested only to be let go a short time later with a slap on the wrist 🙄
So they caught 4 out of 80, 2 of which were already released from jail.
I tell ya what, we really have the best and brightest working in this county.
I don’t feel bad for nordstroms or any of these large retailers, I only feel bad for the store employees who have to suffer because the air headed CEO wanted to be part of the cool kids club.
They supported this behavior with all their donations to groups that want to abolish the police, and elect DA’s like our wonderful Diana Becton that will not prosecute crimes. Now they are asking Congress to pass more laws to help bail them out of a situation they helped create.
No. What these retailers should be doing is writing each and every one of us individual checks for the trauma and emotional distress they’ve caused in our communities. No new laws from congress. These retailers are only getting hit in a few states yet all of the states need to have a new law imposed on them? Screw that. So tired of these corporations and politicians partnering to screw us time and time again and act like we don’t remember their BS last year.
@Plinko Exactly, once the guy realizes he’s the dupe left holding the bag, he’ll squeal like a stuck pig. Charge him one year for everyone involved, more people he turns over, the years proportionally get removed.
According to the Martinez Detention Facility report, San Felipe is a black male and was arrested by Pinole PD. Perhaps he was arrested by WCPD and Pinole was given the credit since the arrest took place in Pinole? I don’t know. Is that a common situation?
I thought San Felipe was a resort city in Baja.
“Jordan San Felipe is a sole proprietorship located in Antioch, California that received a Coronavirus-related PPP loan from the SBA of $15,530.00 in May, 2021.
The company has reported itself as a Black or african american male owned business, and employed at least one person during the applicable loan loan period.”
The DA or Feds should add a few additional counts. hint hint
