Man Taken Into Custody After Vehicle Pursuit On Market St. In Concord

A man was taken into custody after a short pursuit this morning on Market St. in Concord.

Witnesses say the man was attempting to flee from the police in what we’re hearing was a stolen vehicle. When he tried to make the turn onto Market St., his vehicle slid and he crashed into another car.

He tried to run but was immediately detained by Concord Police.

When a man steals an old Saturn, I have to assume he stole it for use in a future crime.

Thank you Concord Police for your work! You can see the perp was one of those with his pants pulled way below his underwear. Hopefully that hindered his running away.
By the way don’t knock those old Saturns they run forever…… truly though, he probably was going to use it for another crime… so that was averted thanks to the Concord Police!

Maybe, but with those wheels he might have plans to complete the refurb and upgrade the motor and live a life of leisure.

Fleeing from the police is dangerous while driving or on-foot. Persons committing this crime should be given an automatic 5-year prison sentence. BLM has incentivized this behavior and Becton and her crowd weaponized it.

+1

Has Becton-Soros let him out on no bail yet?

+1

More systemic racism and social injustice and inequity.

@WC—Creeker…. Chuckie is just calling a spade a spade I believe, he’s spot on with his comment. You and “Doh” might want to buddy up and tell stories about how you’re both victims, so sad.

If you have to flee from the police in the stolen vehicle, maybe an old Saturn isn’t the vehicle you want…

Nice red panties, Buba will love those.

Sad thing is he’s probably already out of jail. Contra Costa doesn’t hold or prosecute anyone (except cops).

@kilo. so… the jail is full of cops?

@Rolaids

The jail is damn near empty.

MDF and WCDF have less than half the population they had two years ago.

That old saturn has a really straight body. Nice.

They don’t dent they’re plastic…

Guy’s got taste. He stole it ’cause it matched his underwear.

Great job CPD.

We can always count on our wonderful Police Department.

Those folks are the best.

Prosecuting him?

That depends entirely on his skin color.

Thank You Concord Police (Heroes all) for putting yourselves in harm’s way for all of us! A very tough and dangerous job for these times.
We need stronger sentencing guidelines for the court system.
We are fans of the Thin Blue Line.

It is sad so many need to point out his race. And one even mentions BLM to ensure all people of color are indicted because of one man’s crime.

I wish I could read a news story or editorial that wasn’t about race. Unfortunately race is the most prominent yet abused fuel for political agenda. The desired result is for a society to no longer have common goals. Then it’s easier to push forth societal changes that aren’t necessarily popular with the majority. It’s called Oligarchy.

@Doh – Yeah, because there is no pattern of young black men being obscenely over-represented in violent crime.

Book ’em Danno!!!

One of the celebrated vibrant peoples of America strikes Claycord again!

@Doh
Maybe I missed it, but no one in the comments pointed out his race, His poor behavior, yes. His bad fashion, yes. His horrible decisions, absolutely.

No! What is sad is he stole someone else’s property. Systematic racism? Yes let’s pretend.

He tried to outrun the police in that? Once again, most crooks are stupid. The good ones aren’t that easy to catch.

Fools and their Red shoes. Probably think they can run faster from popo in those ugly thangs.

@Aunt Barbara. Instead of running, if he’d just clicked his heels three times, he might have made it!

Now he can chant “There’s no place like home” from jail while fending off flying monkeys in the shower.
