I’m hearing multiple calls regarding this on my scanner, I don’t understand all of the 911 calls for flooding inside house.

What is the fire dept supposed to do?
Anyone care to chime in.

It’s one thing if there’s a traffic control issue, but what are they supposed to do if someone’s basement is flooding?

Good question, Idk. Help the citizen set up a siphon with their garden hoses, and provide them if the citizens doesn’t own them?

Fire departments have pumps.

Friends can’t charge their Tesla. Won’t be able to drive to work tomorrow nor work from home if power stays off.

My Chevy 350 will still be burning dead dinosaurs while the glasspacks are popping. Those tesla’s will be in the landfill and I’ll still be burning rubber in every gear. Cry more libs

In the event a home is flooding due to a natural disaster 911 can dispatch public works to the area to access the street where the flooding is occurring (clogged drains in street, so forth). In some extreme cases people can become trapped from flooding and may need assistance getting out of their home especially if they are elderly or handicapped and they are alone in their home.

Comcast has been down in large parts of the area too. Been over 6 hours for me 🙁
