There has been one COVID-19 related death so far in August.
188 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. 51 of those are in the ICU.

I’m confused. On the August 10 posting it said there was 3768 cases. We’re now down to 3500 cases and it still says it’s increasing am I missing something?
The comparison is week-over-week.
Percent change over the last 2 weeks, not over the last 2 days. We’re up 30% from where we were two weeks ago, even though we’re down over that last two days.

I think that C) was a case of WITHHOLDING treatment and, yeah, minorities (with the exception of Asians) are more likely in Contra Costa county to NOT be vaccinated (by choice, it seems).

Unless I am mistaken, hospitals are still rewarded with higher reimbursements for ICU admissions of Xi Corona Virus infected persons, even if they are there for another condition. But hey, burn it down if you want. Just look what Gavin has been able to do for our forests.
Alternatively, get vaccinated and if you do end up with a breakthrough infection you are quite likely to avoid a hospitalization.

Is there anyway you can include those that are in the hospital that have been fully vaccinated? It’s not just unvaccinated. Hospitals aren’t reporting those aren’t reporting the whole truth.
Incorrect. It is not experimental. The experimental phase ended when the successful clinical trials concluded. It is Emergency Use. Big difference, there are many that resisted the “experimental” vaccine that are now begging for treatments while struggling to breathe that are also “experimental” if the same standard is used. Irony is a beast, and in this case possibly deadly.

@Wrong again, but how well is the vaccine working? Seems to have been a rushed product. Also if an unvaccinated person is tested for antibodies and they have them then why would they need the vaccine?

I wonder if they are getting treatment or just sweating it out in the hospital. If we had a free press you would hear that doctors around the country are healing people. There could be a doctor out there curing everyone he or she treats but if he or she said how he or she would be ridiculed and cancelled.
How many covid positive and hospitalized people in Contra Costa County recently arrived from border? Same question goes for other counties in other states. Interesting to be able to see those statistics.
