State public health officials issued a vaccination mandate Thursday for health care workers across the state, requiring them to be fully vaccinated or receive their second dose by the end of September.
The mandate will apply to all workers in health care settings like hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. The California Department of Public Health also mandated Thursday that people visiting a health care setting must confirm their vaccination status or have tested negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours prior to their indoor visit.
Thursday’s mandate comes just over a week after Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered all state employees and health care workers to get vaccinated or be subject to frequent COVID-19 testing.
The new mandate from the CDPH will remove the testing option for unvaccinated workers, instead requiring them to get vaccinated if they do not have a documented exemption for medical or religious reasons.
Here is an example of a religious exemption – passed along courtesy of attorney Robert Barnes. Barnes will be teeming up with Bobby Kennedy to bring suit against vaccine mandates.

You could not get into nursing school or work as an RN without proof of vaccination against all of the other dangerous illness, right? Nothing is perfect. This is close enough for me. I know of a nurse who teaches that refuses to be vaccinated. This should stop her obstinate behavior. She is a family member. In fact my entire family except my nephew in Colorado refuse to be vaccinated. I am sad because my 97 year old father has no choice (has dementia) but to go along with them. They do take very good care of Dad, except for not getting him vaccinated. That is so stupid.

I mean, it makes perfect sense to mandate a vaccine that is NOT FDA approved, right? The vaccines only have a EUA, and to you wanna-be-experts, this is my field of study, so I know the difference. Moderna and Pfizer are both recommending a booster (surprise!, well not really), already because the efficacy is waning. Notice, they are not saying a booster to prevent from new variants, only to strengthen the vaccine (covid treatment?) that has already been injected.
Will anyone check into this; what if I had Pfizer, but I get a booster from J&J or Moderna? Or what about the new potential from Novavax?
Mandates can be dangerous when all the information is not available or understood. We obviously do not understand the full extent of the ‘vaccine’ today, yet we are mandating them. If we understood them, we would already know about boosters, interactions, etc.

Choices have consequences. Yes, because it was put through a double blind Phase 3 trial, I know because I was on it along with 10k others last year. you are espousing mis-information.

The science is the science regardless of your feelings, Ivermectin (horse de-worm medication) and the rest of the prophylactic drugs used for other indications have NOT been shown to work with Covid with any specificity or sensitivity. Therapeutics have not been stagnant, rather, what we have been throwing at it are just not working with any causative data to back up further investigation. Currently the Vaccine is the ONLY thing working to stave off the virus and associated deaths.

I’ve worked in healthcare for years and we have had so many doctors and staff who are vaccinated turn out positive for Covid, had no symptoms, and because they had no symptoms they were doing patient care. Could they have possibly infected their already sick patients ? Most likely.

People crossing the border are not the cause of the spike. Most are returned to Mexico. The ones who are allowed to stay are taken to shelters and are tested regularly. You do know that no vaccine prevents disease by 100%, right?. The reason why you don’t hear about polio is because enough people get vaccinated so there is herd immunity.
The problem is unvaccinated people that cause the virus to mutate further and makes the covid vaccines to be less effective. That’s what we are experiencing with Delta. you’re better off vaccinated as it significantly lowers the risk of hospitalization and death. Do you see how that works?

While you are sort of correct in that SARS and Covid are both Corona viruses and share 85% to 92 % genetic homology, the two couldn’t be more different, you should have learned in basic Biology we share 98% homology with Chimpanzee’s, that 2% makes a huge difference.
According to you all virus act and mutate the same? If this were the case we would be effected the same by all viruses, but that is a false claim in that different viral pathogens will act differently from one another. Furthermore, different strains (or as you call them mutants) can be more or less pathogenic. Please stop pretending you know what you are talking about, it getting downright dangerous!

Our government has completely crossed the line and has infringed on our democracy and our right to choose. I stand with people having the right to make a decision for themselves. Vaccines take years if clinical trials before they are approved. This vaccine was fast tracked, we are the lab rays, we are the vaccine trial. Usually you wait to see if there are any long term side effects, not enough time has been given to make that determination. Hopefully everyone that received the vaccine doesn’t suffer to any long term side effects. Seriously shaking my head to what our state has become and where our nation is heading.
