Concord Police just received a call from a witness who said a homeless man is lighting fires next to the freeway in the area of Market and Willow Pass.
The caller said it appears to be the same man who was arrested for the same thing last week.
Both police and fire are on their way to the scene.
UPDATE: One fire has been located near a drainage ditch. The fire has been extinguished.
So a guy was arrested for arson last week and he is out of jail and starting another fire. You can’t make this stuff up?

There was a Mercury News article that said he was in court on Wednesday.
He self-identifies as a fire-fighter and was doing a controlled burn to reduce fire hazards.

Someone should make starting fires illegal. That should stop it. It worked for the Dems on guns it will work here.
So the DA just turns people lose after being arrested, probably with no bail. Gavin is letting tens of thousands of prisoners out, and those prisoners include arsonists. What else can we expect? You get what you vote for.
I know I didn’t vote for any of this, and probably a lot of people reading this site didn’t either, but it’s pretty clear that a lot of Californians don’t mind what’s going on and keep voting for the same politicians who are not interested in doing their jobs, of which public safety is a huge part. Nicely done, people.
