The East Bay Municipal Utility District is holding a public hearing Tuesday on a proposed 8 percent rate increase for tap water and wastewater over the next two years.

The EBMUD board meeting starts at 1:15 p.m. and will be livestreamed at http://www.ebmud.com/board-meetings.

The agency is proposing a 4 percent rate hike for both water and wastewater starting on the fiscal year that begins July 1 of this year and another 4 percent increase for the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2022.
More information about the proposal is available at ebmud.com/rates.

Hum. Has the cost of water increased by 8%? Or is the increase needed for the pensions of the EBMUD executives and board members? Might help to detail the real reason for the increase. How about an 8% increase tied to an 8% decrease in executive’s total compensation.

NO!

Errr they just raised water last year
Now they let out all the water and are now charging us again

It appears every agency is using the newscum code to screw us
Gas water gas again several road taxes on top of taxes we allready pay for most of the same things

Go figure
How do dem voters pay for all of these taxes
they love for their politicians to impose as they take more welfare and Edd

No dem with money would vote for the newscum

Or am I missing something

Please explain why dem politicians are the way to go

All is see is corrupted politicians bending over for handouts from unions

Water is the new commodity. Water will be priced and marketed as a commodity. Multiply your last month’s water bill be 1.4 million to get a rough idea of the EBMUD take. It’s not even EBMUD water anymore, they’re combining the mountain water with the pesticide laden Delta water from CCWD. The EBMUD meeting starts today at 1:15pm, why not join in:Attend the Budget, Rates and Charges Public Hearing
EBMUD’s public hearing on proposed rates and charges will be held virtually with telephone access (due to county health orders).

It’s like they dont care…….

Glenn describes how quickly Germany’s economy tanked in the early 1920s, thanks to destructive practices that resulted in astronomical inflation rates — so high, in fact, that the price of coffee would increase faster than you could drink your first cup. But Glenn says the parallels between Germany nearly a century ago and our economy today are too clear to ignore, and it’s all being done by phony ‘experts’ we’re brainwashed to trust. So, considering Janet Yellen recently said inflation will be GOOD for the country, are they destroying our economy on purpose?

only problem is binbiden is not the hitler of this scenario

we are being dogged to be chinas zpngler
maybe john cena can help with the mandarin translation
anyways
china is setting us up to be their shield as they push for their 3rd Reich
yes we are france in this scenario

yaay this is what you wanted

you got it

just another 2 years

any dem voter will be the face of the history books

…. drought – so we save water… ooops revenue down – raise prices to cover outrageous pensions, and exec comp. …. no additional infrastructure building to save the rainfall we do get… so where’s it going?

Water was put on this earth for us to survive…… we should not be charged for using something God given, in moderation. Next we will be charged for the air we breathe.

Aunt Barbara, have you heard of the CARB aka Calif Air Resource Board?

If I could raise the rates I charge clients, or raise my pension, with little to fear from the victim, well, why not?

My guess is that EBMUD has already decided to raise rates, that raise will outpace the state and federal COLA, ad that a few managers will receive “performance bonuses”.
