A swift and overwhelming response by fire crews this afternoon limited damage to a house on Weaver Lane in Concord and prevented the fire from spreading to surrounding dense vegetation and neighboring homes, according to ConFire.

This is the second time in two days ConFire has dispatched Crew-12 to a fire to prevent spread to adjacent structures.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

This was my family home! We lost it due to my father passing and the Recession in 2008 2009. Heartbroken. At least if we kept it it would be beautiful and full of life. What are they doing with it now.

it was a lovely property when the Rose Family owned it. It would break your heart to see the property now. Miss the Rose’s garage sales!

Is that the house that’s all boarded up behind the white gate at 1835 Weaver Lane? If so, probably squatters/homeless were camped out there and started the fire. Just a theory.

It looks like the same house on Zillow that sold 10/2020, for 1.9 million, and it was really nice on the inside. Will be interesting to find out what/how happened.

If that’s the house I think it is, it has historic value.

agree

the fire bugs are ready and waiting to burn us down

what has the newscum done ….brought in more bums and released more arsonists since their felonies are archaic in the new chaos scheme he wants

city councils have done nothing accept again push the newscum ideals of well basically …deal with it yourselves

which i believe is the komi socialist credo if you look it up

again i ask a dem voter
what has any dem politician done for you and your families lives
explain so we can be enlightened and follow

May as well say Concord. It’s a few steps away from the trash school Oak Grove Middle.

The Grant May 21, 2021 - 9:03 AM - 9:03 AM

As a parent with school-age children I would never buy a home in that ‘Walnut Creek’ neighborhood (between Bart tracks and Treat) since it is zoned for Oak Grove Middle and Ygnacio Valley.

Why pay the Walnut Creek premium without the Walnut Creek schools?

Nutcreek Frontier May 21, 2021 - 10:25 AM - 10:25 AM

Excellent point Grant, but fortunately great private schools in our area, and the neighborhood is very nice. For public schools, MDUSD has the cohort option which allows Bancroft kids to stay together through Foothill and Northgate

This is the result of unchecked illegal immigration.

With modest, legal immigration you change the immigrants.

With unchecked illegal immigration, the illegal immigrants change you.

In this case, the US is being turned into a Third World ****hole.

One of my favorite houses in the area. I wonder why it has been vacant for so long? Would be really cool all fixed up.

.
Long ago the homeless had stripped out all the wiring and plumbing. They also severely damaged the interior.
Plus the general neglect by the owner. It would be every expensive to rescue that home.
.
Walnut Creek approved subdivision of the property and preservation of that house.

NutcreekFrontier May 21, 2021 - 10:04 AM - 10:04 AM

Not teens or transients that started this fire…grown man observed running from the house prior to the Start of the fire, getting into a vehicle. Law enforcement being contacted, all the surrounding homes are going to be pushing hard on this investigation.
