The Lindsay Wildlife Experience, a wildlife museum in Walnut Creek, announced Wednesday that it will reopen its Exhibit Hall next week, completing a return to its pre-pandemic operations.
The museum will be unveiling a new habitat for its bald eagle Atsa for a special Member Day reopening next Tuesday, then will reopen to the general public the following day.
To follow safety and social distancing measures, the museum will initially open with reduced hours and capacity, with Exhibit Hall open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 2-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and attendance at 50 percent of regular capacity, or 75 guests at a time. Everyone 2 or older will be required to wear masks.
For more information, people can call (925) 935-1978 or go online to www.lindsaywildlife.org.
That is awesome news! Slowly more things are opening up for our young kids.
I love the Lindsey Wildlife museum. Although living on the Peninsula I took my daughter there when she was 7 or 8. Then I took my step granddaughter there when she was about 5 about 7 years ago. Then when my granddaughter was 1 and 1/2 about (2017) my daughter and family was here from Southern California Christmas 2017 and we all went, step granddaughter, granddaughter, daughter and son in law, and had a great time. It has something for everyone if you are an animal lover.
About time.
Make sure to get those 2 year olds wearing masks, and everyone masked up outdoors.
Science.
I was wondering how long it would take for someone to turn something wholesome and good and use it to broadcast a partisan political message. Give it a break. This community ain’t what it used to be.
It’s great that they’re reopening, but requiring masks for 2-year-olds does seem a little bizarre.
Awesome news, loved this place as a boy.
Stop it with the masks already. Also, love the LWE.. But no masks, really. When y’all gonna stand up and say, “Enough!” ???
I’ll say enough when the transmission of the virus drops to almost zero.
Fantastic great news!!!
