Police in Concord are chasing a suspect on foot around Clayton Rd. and Talisman Dr., near Lucky Supermarket. There are numerous Officers with red lights a sirens responding.
A helicopter is assisting with the search.
No other information has been released at this time.

UPDATE: Police, along with the police K-9, are searching the creek behind Auto Zone on Clayton Rd.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. At this time, we have no information on why police are chasing him.
Police confirmed they know the identity of the suspect.
UPDATE #2: Police are now searching a backyard on Claycord Ave., which is where the suspect previously lived.
UPDATE #3: Police have not located the suspect.
UPDATE #4: The helicopter is now leaving the area. The suspect has not been located.

I know Concord isn’t the town I grew up in 50 years ago, but this is the second night in a row police helicopters are circling overhead. I feel like I’m living in Los Angeles. Is this really necessary? Several years ago, the same thing happened in the middle of the night, 2 nights in a row, waking me up. I called the police dep’t the next day only to find they were looking for a runway. Really? You wake hundreds of people up 2 nights in a row to look for teenagers who have run away?
Wonder what you’d want done if it was your loved one?

Never fails! Alway someone looking to complain about the police. I would say chasing a known “armed and dangerous” suspect warrants the disruption. If you don’t agree, maybe you should invite him in to your house……

Agreed..I am near Crystyl Ranch, and they have been circling for awhile. Thank you Concord PD..yes this is necessary to the moron who stated is this necessary. All police officers deserve respect and I think they are amazing and dont get enough credit.

Mentioned above “thanks Concord PD for keeping our city safe”. Honestly I haven’t seen any PD keep any city safe. All CPD did last night was run around for hours scaring the hell out of more people than the suspect himself.
I paid no attention to my neighbors who actually thought they were in danger..
So, you think Concord would be safer if we had no police? I doubt it.
It was hard to sleep last night knowing the suspect had not been located and he was armed and dangerous!
