Just this morning driving past Newhall Park I witnessed adults getting soccer equipment with no masks, no social distancing. A hospital worker was talking about how her family is coming from Alabama for the holidays. How are we ever going to get past this if people continue to be so careless? Its just sad.
Oh no!!! Adults by themselves without a mask on outside?!!! Family coming in from out of state?! How could they?!!! Keep your a*& inside and duct tape all openings around your door for the next 3 years Kathy that way you won’t get infected by these rule breakers!!! Good grief.
@Kathy
Don’t they say it is better to be outside? Went two weeks ago to Sun Valley Mall and that place was ridiculously crowded. How can anyone take this seriously when you can have hundreds of people crowded at the mall but we can’t get haircuts or our nails done. Hair salons and nail salons DO NOT have hundreds of people crowded in their buildings at once. Besides what’s it to you if people are careless. CA is too crowded anyways and there are too many people on this planet.
Did you call the cops on these law breakers? It’s all Trumps fault, right? As long as there’s people like you, we’ll have a better chance with The Great Reset taking place. You do know that’s not a conspiracy theory, right?
Kathy are you sure you dont get called Karen?
Should the “Total Tested” be re-labeled as “Total Tests” since many people are retested frequently??? It infers that almost 3/4 of the County residents have been tested and that’s not correct.
I believe the virus has the potential to spread , I got it taking revery precaution possible. Thankfully after a few weeks now, I’m recovering, slowly, but this really no joke. Having said, I guess people will continue to make decisions about their activities out of their own thoughts about the virus.
I agree about the additional testing though, I was tested again after 15 days from the first test, detected positive. The virus can be detected for up to 3 months, even when a person is no longer shedding active virus, so the repeat test should .not be counted as a second positive.
You tested “positive” for exosomes or nucleotides as Fauci said.
You should have got an Epstein barr test……that’s what it sounds like you had.
And it doesn’t matter if you’ve never had mono as a kid, it could have been mild and passed off as a flu. But it can reactivate.
Since this virus has a over 99% survival rate I want to know how many of the 290 plus who died had underlying condition and what where there ages
They never say that information. But what we do know is, is half the deaths are from nursing homes. So the rest of the public is being punished due to the older folks who unfortunately aren’t doing well and are living there final days in a home with crappy workers.
Ages are on the county site
3 parties directly around me today. You think this outbreak is bad? Parties all over North Concord tonight. Please stop! My neighbor uphill from me has parties all the time. Christmas party today along with the two both down from me
Since I live in WC I would like to know what the 293 people from the Creek have been doing to catch this crud in the last fourteen days. It would be good to know.
Thy have just been living life and getting colds, then falsely testing positive for COVID-19. That’s really all.
A record 621 people died of drug overdoses in San Francisco so far this year, a staggering number that far outpaces the 173 deaths from COVID-19 the city has seen thus far. The crisis fueled by the powerful painkiller fentanyl could have been far worse if it wasn’t for the nearly 3,000 times Narcan was used from January to the beginning of November to save someone from the brink of death, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020.
Good thing we are not paying attention to these factual numbers and that drug overdoses are actually much more harmful than COVID. Instead we want to pay attention to inflated numbers for something that is merely a cold in most people. Sigh.
Ok so everywhere on news outside USA they are reporting on this new mutant version. Why are we not hearing about this in USA?? We are obviously slow to react then.. 70% more contagious version of virus just discovered. Neverending we will pretend its not happening. Really?
I wonder if it’ll be called Covid-19.2 or Covid-20. We’ll all have to “double-mask” and wear full body condoms at all times I’m sure. Will we get a breakdown between the two viruses of how many people died each? How many new “experts” will this spawn?…..Inquiring minds want to know.
@Sue
This (type of) story first appeared back in July. They are correlating the increase of cases seen lately by supposition, even though back in June-July, they were warning that it would be worse this time of year (it is typically flu season). How did the source you read come up with 70% more contagious, does it meant that the tests coming back positive are 70% more? I read one that also questioned if the vaccine would still work. Sounds to me more like baseless considerations.
Cases are not covid infections, infection probability is thousand times less.
