Military Equipment In The Vineyard Shopping Center On Clayton Rd.

If you’ve driven by the Vineyard shopping center (near the old K-Mart) on Clayton Rd. in Concord today, you probably noticed the military equipment.

The shipping containers are labeled “VAQ-129”. Electronic Attack Squadron One Two Nine (VAQ-129) is a non-deploying shore squadron, stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, in Oak Harbor, Washington.

VAQ-129 is the United States Navy’s Fleet Replenishment Squadron for EA-18G Growlers. Serving the United States Navy and United States Air Force, the Vikings of VAQ-129 train freshly pinned Naval Aviators and Naval Flight Officers. VAQ-129 also provides continuing education for Aviators and NFOs who have been to the fleet.

The piece of equipment that looks like some type of missile is actually called a “drop tank.”. A drop tank is an external fuel tank for military aircraft.

We’re not sure where they’re going, but it appears they won’t be in the shopping center for an extended period of time.

Thanks to Virginia for the photos of the equipment.

Preparing for a peaceful transition of Mayor Mcgallian to Mayor Aliano I suspect.

Thank you for the laugh!

Next step to corona virus response, military intervention.

I literally laughed out loud at this. Well done.

Wouldn’t surprise me, since folks can’t get with the program. Record numbers of people traveling this year. Should be “lowest travel numbers in history “ news story. But…selfish folks.

@jazzman
Re-education services will soon be available for those who have had their minds completely washed into believing the COVID hoax. Stand by little buddy, help is on the way

The resourcefulness of the homeless shall not be underestimated. Maybe they found a drop tank somewhere and are building it into a shelter under a bridge somewhere.

Thanks for taking pictures of me and my brothers loads we come into town to see family non of theses loads are publicly dandangerous nor explosive .

Thank you Nick and your brother for not only giving us something of interest to talk about, but a great reminder of the importance of our military, and to be thankful for all military service personnel especially on Thanksgiving day. May you and your brother have safe travels my friend.

“Navy’s Fleet Replenishment Squadron for EA-18G Growlers.”

Are those the same growlers as you get the brewery? Those darn Navy guys getting replenished again!!

My Chief told me that beer was created to keep the Navy from taking over the world.

Its just stuff for our military in transit no big deal and nothing to panic about. It wouldn’t be there if it was dangerous in any way. People here are just not used to seeing military hardware in transit.

Absolutely correct information on VAQ-129. I was attached with them in the Navy between 1997-1999 when they flew EA-6B Prowlers prior to transitioning to F-18 platform.

I swear I saw Slim Pickins sitting on that thing waving his cowboy hat yelling yee haw to them Ruskies.

My gosh, haven’t thought about Dr. Strangelove in a long time.
Thanks for jogging the memory.

The Navy calls the “Jammers”. I don’t think parking lots count though.🙃s

Edit. The Navy calls THEM “Jammers”

I just put “Shop Gear Beach” through a Russian Language translator, and it came back, “Take out Sunvalley mall at dawn.” Yeah! Can I help?

Lol…how funny . It wasn’t long ago when are adversaries had to
work their asses of collecting intelligence about our military and its movements within country . Now all one needs is a bare minimum of a 10 year old metro phone with social media and can read on Claycord all logistics concerning our militar movement and equipment.

I’m triggered
