Filled it out last week, but haven’t turned it in yet. Probably tomorrow.

Not yet. I have been told by an election official that the polling places will have someone there to collect the mail in ballots on election day. I plan to turn mine in at the polling place on election day to maintain proper chain of custody.
True. I’ve been an election worker for several years and the ‘blue bag’ for mail-in ballots has gotten fuller every year because of the increase in drop-offs.
No, as I personally like to put my ballot into the machine. For those who are nervous about it, Dr. Fauci said it was safe as long as you’re masked, gloved, and distanced. It sure is a good thing Dr. Fauci said that because nobody would have EVER come up with doing those things on their own.

All done and dropped off at Clayton Library 10 days ago. Received the email/text confirmation within 4 days that the ballot was indeed received by and in the hands of the County Election Office. Easy.

I do not trust the Democrats I’m convinced they are ballot harvesting and changing ballots to make sure my vote is counted I will be voting in person.
It’s pretty ironic that it is actually the Republicans that have illegal ballot boxes. You know you can also track your ballot once it’s been turned in. I did not mail mine it but dropped it off at a collection site and have received confirmation that it is with the county.
I don’t trust anyone but you’re probably ok. It’s big time federal crime to tamper with an election. 3-5 years in prison. It definitely happens but most of the time they get caught.
@Sam
Normally I would agree with you.
Not this year.
There have been too many credible reports of stolen mail that includes ballots, ballots found in the trash, FBI investigation of stolen ballots mass-destruction of ballot applications, etc.
It’s interesting that Pat would not trust republicans but trusts democrats. Do you actually know what ballot harvesting is? Or is that just a cool phrase you heard and wanted to use it in a post? Both sides have been caught cheating. Different laws regulate ballot harvesting in different places. In California it is legal and greatly benefits democrats. That is an undisputed fact. Pat, you choose the wrong argument to use as example for not trusting republicans. But I agree ballot harvesting can be big problem.

Nope, not yet, will go to my polling place like I’ve done for the last 65 years. At least I know it’s real, and not just a spark of electricity in an invisible piece of copper wire.
I originally thought that Election Day should be a national holiday but I guess it’s no longer needed.

I haven’t filled mine out yet. I keep putting it off seeing if a rational person is running for WC city council. I noticed something today while driving around my neighborhood. As expected I saw no Trump signs because who is willing to risk property damage with idiot democrats running around. More interesting though I only saw three Biden signs. I covered a pretty good area and either people are not voting for him or they don’t want neighbors to know how dump they are.
You have to check the Biden sign to American flag ratio. I see flags all over. 🇺🇸

I did it early by mail, and it’s already confirmed received… this election is critical to save our country from these tragic last 4 years… such a shameful stain on our history… unbelievablely disgraceful and harmful. this election is existential for our very democracy… hard to imagine how it would ever survive if there was yet another 4 years of this insanity & this current administration’s utter lack of even the most basic decency and respect for the rule of law.
@Alan I feel you, the DemocRats have been really bad the last 4 years, and have been holding up the democratic process.

Having voted by mail for decades, I wasn’t really giving it a second thought until this year. I happened to receive some political junk mail from our President’s fringe fund raisers that I found crumpled up into a ball in my mailbox. Granted I would’ve tossed the junk mail anyway, but it’s clear that at least my carrier (at least that day) has an agenda/bias that extends beyond their duties. I filed a complaint with USPS, but I obviously got lip service about it being an “honest mistake.” Not sure why every other piece of junk mail I receive arrives pristine…
I will be taking my ballot to the City Hall lockbox and hoping for the best.
Voting any way other than in person is a risky business this year.

Yes, dropped my ballot off at the Concord City Hall’s dropbox a week and a half ago. There were four other people waiting to drop theirs off just after I finished. Got the “all clear” texts from the county early last week. One way or another, it’s good to see the electorate so engaged this year. Apathy has been just as lethal to this country as COVID.
Yes. Don’t trust the Democrats as far as I can see them or throw them. Biden and his family are more crooked than I had expected and they lie through their teeth.
