My obnoxious neighbor moved out but his son who is exactly like his Dad moved in. They have no respect for the neighbors.
Sorry about your bad neighbors. We have been lucky and haven’t had a bad neighbor since one witch built a two story house illegally and blocked off one of our cool views. That was years ago and we have gotten used to it. I used to have a neighbor who would always come out of her house in her underwear with a small bag of garbage to give to the trash collectors as they picked up the cans. That was exciting for the trash collectors and they made sure they never missed our block.

Glad to hear about your obnoxious neighbors moving out. Our wonderful next door neighbors moved out (miss them so much) & obnoxious neighbors just moved in!!! I wonder if they’er your old neighbors.
@derb I’m sure there are plenty of obnoxious neighbors to go around, but maybe! If they start partying all night and having loud sex outside….
The neighbors are.
We’ve got neighbors that have taking over our court. We have 5 houses on our court and one neighbor owns a local business and has a warehouse. However they have 3 people living there and they have two pickup trucks, three Suv’s, two sport cars, work trucks and trailers, fifth wheel, boat and at times three utility trailers. Plus they have gardeners, water delivery, pool cleaners, window washers, house cleaners, bug treatment, gutter cleaners and daily amazon, ups, usps etc. Then they walk their four dogs and don’t take poop bags. The rest of the neighbors want to change the name of the court to their name.
With movie theaters and shopping closed I’ve had time to get back into cycling and I’m feeling good and having a blast. Lots of people are out on the trails exercising. Better to be as healthy as you can just in case you get the virus, so you can have better odds.
We sold our home and are moving out of State. Kinda sad about it, born and raised in Concord, but time to move away from all the craziness California is becoming.
… can’t blame you… many more native Californians are doing the same

My 98 year old mother got the COVID, and her doctors said she had 3-4 days to live. Well she surprised everybody and recovered. Now she’s as good as new, well as good as one can expect to be at 98.

Apple four for one stock split.
I am not a big investor, but never thought I would own a nice chunk of stock.
I thought the seven four one was big, and this was just more icing on the cake.
I also never had a cell phone, but purchased an iPhone last year, and am totally amazed. Okay, I am older, I get easily impressed.

You do realize that a stock split does not, in and of itself, increase the value of your holdings? In fact, the stocks after the split are selling for less money.
The value of your total holding is still the same. You just own more shares which individually are now worthless than before the split.
I stopped buying shares after the earlier seven for one split.
To your point you were correct for about one second after this recent split.
Since then the per share price has increased, therefore my holdings have increased.
FYI the shares would have to drop below $1.13 per share for me to lose money I invested. But, come to think of it, they give me money back every quarter in dividends. So they actually paid me $27,000 to buy their stock.
My great great grandchildren can deal with the capital gains. 🙂

@Janus, I am sure that JJ realizes that his/her total value does not increase due to the stock split; however, over time the value of the stock will increase as Apple is an excellent company and more investors are able to afford the buy-in.

The air quality was good on my birthday and I had a full day of outdoor activities with a couple of very good friends.

I was able to adopt a dog from Muttville Senior Dog Rescue. He is bringing some joy into my life.
They’re a great organization!
Even though it was short lived, since our Son-in-Law retired from the Coast Guards, our Daughter & Him were parked in Elk Grove with his Parents, and we were able to see them 6 times. They are now leaving this weekend to head to Colorado, near Denver, for his new JOB!,…and Life. So to Birds with One Stone. Can’t wait to visit them and see Colorado for the first time. Hopefully they will be able to sell their house in Maryland soon.
Oh, and my Hubby got his job back after 3 month lay-off.

Let’s hope the recall works, as the Governor is loose in an empty candy store: The State Legislature has adjourned for the year. Yes they get four months of paid vacation while the Governor runs amok.
He will do a lot more damage between now and year end. Fortunately the recall has serious momentum now.
You just cant overturn 7 million votes because you disagree. Read the constitution you live under and learn to accept a lose. So selfish. Me me me that is your only consideration.
Me…The Democrates have been trying over turn a election since Trump been elected. I agree with you.
Our Governor has changed over 400 laws without accountability under the guise of emergency. He has ignored the will of the people by stopping the death penalty. He squandered $1 Billion on Chinese masks, millions on homeless hotels, and has in general spent our money like a drunken sailor. He has signed legislation to drive charter schools out of business so they don’t compete with the union he technically works for. And while the wildfires burn, his biggest concern is enforcing ethnic studies classes on college students. Quite frankly the Easter Bunny could do a better job.

I had to think pretty long and hard for a good thing. I can to believe summer is nearly over and I’ve mostly stated home. Everything fun has been cancelled. However, the rifle and pistol range just off highway 4 has reopened so we went shooting with some family members. And we made a trip to the zoo in Sacramento. So, a couple of good things.
California needs to reopen. Enough of this.

I am creating unbelievable things to cook. I learned I am a happy person because I can be busy without all the drama. I like to go to bed early and get at least 8 hours restful sleep. Also we have three meetings per week with my neighbors on my side lawn that is shaded and pleasant. We are getting to know each other quite well. I have to remember not to insult the Trumpsters. They are the nicest folks So politics is out. I have discovered that we have so much evil division because of the BS.
We started to turn off the TV when the news comes on. Can’t believe how good you can feel all day….
Completed a significant house repair….satisfying. Missed the “music in the park(s)” though
Finally received my long overdue promotion – I’m no longer ‘Dad’. My new rank is ‘Grandpa’!

Moved out of Calif. to a state that has less taxes, gas is $2.00 a gallon, housing is cheaper and all the clerks at the grocery store are friendly!!!! I could go on and on about the difference in politics and the pros and cons about the move but the only thing I miss about Calif. is friends.
