CASES BY CITY:
PRIOR DAY TOTALS:
The population of Contra Costa County is about 1.1-million.
More than 1,800 children in CC County have now been diagnosed with Covid-19, the great majority in the last few months. Why is no one talking about or seemingly worried about this?
Any how is the County opening more things, claiming positivity rate is the same or improving, while also refusing to actually state the positivity rates?Based just on the numbers diagnosed/numbers tests per day, it seems to be a pretty bad number.
Because nobody cares about the children. No kids are dying. No kids are sick. What the hell is a test good for if nobody is even ill. You guys and your stupid propaganda war. Get over it, Hillary lost. Biden is an idiot. Trump is going to win re-election. This whole thing went down in flames. Nobody cares about a virus. Riots are converting low info voters into Trump super voters at a faster clip than anyone could have ever imagined. Thanks Antifa and Dr. Fauci. We will continue to make America great while you hide out in your mask clutching your communist manifesto begging to be locked down

Because they are not dying so it does not serve their purpose. As we found out in Georgia, only if you test positive on the second day of in person school will they talk about kids getting COVID – and smart people know that kid did not catch it from school.
Now lets look at our numbers, Kids are at home, at least the under 4, and likely the 5-12 year old … how did they catch it if they are wearing a mask, staying at home abiding by the “rules”? Could it be that Quarantine and Masks do not work?
Just askin’
Now as for today’s numbers looking at the county health website: 172 death divided by 13259 cases, under 1.3%. Now if we assume the 10x underreporting of infections based on the WHO and the CDC, we are at a death rate of under 0.13%. What was the annual flu death rate again?
But let us remember, the flu does not cause an uptick in depression, suicide or a downtick in the deaths caused by cancer, car accidents and heart disease. I would love to see a true apple to apple comparison but our health department director and our governor would NEVER publish those numbers because it would not support their political pathway.
Again I must state for those you … No the disease is not a hoax. Yes, people have died. But, how contagious and infectious is this really? Is this really worth killing our economy, the huge uptick in unemployment, the killing of small business etc.
Because it’s nearly harmless for kids and they aren’t the drivers of the epidemic even in places where schools have reopened. Simple as that.
The county did mention positivity rate #s in their recent press release. Down from 8 point something in early August to 7 point something.
@sam – perhaps people are concerned because this is now the third leading cause of death in the United States, trailing only heart disease and cancer.
Perhaps…and perhaps not.
This virus is not a hoax – its here among us. However if you are one of the people that think its bad enough to shut our entire economy down and put thousands of small business under and make thousands of people lose their homes – then you deserve to lose everything just like the others that have lost everything! Our Governor Newsom is the worst Governor I have ever witnessed in my 50+ years on this earth.
@parent – a death by suicide is no more tragic than a death by covid. As a society, we should not have to chose who will live and who will die. Resources should be allocated to support those who are vulnerable to depression just as resources should be deployed to support those who are vulnerable to Covid.
