A Spare the Air Alert is in effect, Tuesday and Wednesday August 18 and 19, for the San Francisco Bay Area.

It is illegal for Bay Area residents and businesses to burn wood or manufactured firelogs in fireplaces, woodstoves and inserts, pellet stoves, outdoor fire pits, or any other wood burning devices.

Darn, no fire tonight at my house. I was looking forward to snuggling up in front of a warm fire.

Somehow I have the feeling that not that many people will be inspired to burn something today. Could be wrong I was wrong once before.

Oh I wish this was all the time. When you don’t have air conditioning and your BF is asthmatic and your neighbor decides to burn his fire pit all night long which goes directly into our window so we have to keep our windows closed. IN THE HEAT. That’s just not fair. Just so someone can sit and look at flames all night. This area is too densely populated, fire pits should not be legal.

Life’s not fair.

Deal with it

Completely agree with you, Alison! We have A/C but still like to open our windows sometimes but not possible when the neighbor has their fire pit burning next to our back windows. It’s not like a BBQ even because no one usually bar-b-ques for 3-6 hours at a time.

I’m with you too, Alison. It’s so obnoxious and inconsiderate. Clean, breathable air In our homes is the baseline and someone else’s recreational activities shouldn’t be allowed to interfere with that.

Another crybaby. So many of them…

So we should ban or make all activities you don’t like illegal . If people want to enjoy a fire once in awhile then deal with . Everybody has the right to enjoy their life not just you .

Kinda like announcing water restrictions during a flood

No Q on today’s agenda… Possibly a few racks this Friday or Saturday….

Great news! The Air Quality Management District is now able to put out wildfires on-demand. Or, will they fine the fire, and if so how will they collect?

What a joke. The AQMD is telling people they can’t have a fire in their fireplace when it’s 100 degrees outside (something nobody was doing, anyway) in order to preserve the air quality when the air is filled with smoke from dozens of wildfires.

Talk about trying to be relevant…

The firepit is lit and the ambiance is permeating!

Suck it BAAQMD!

I don’t know about you but I am sick to death of being told what to do by the leftist Dem’s and their croony fan club.

This is so demeaning to those of us that follow the rules and law but see everyday more and more citizens and illegals breaking the law and getting rewards for doing so. Sick and tired of picking up their lawlessness and paying for what they do and destroy.
