Once they get a taste of your roses, they will be back.
OR–humans in the hills of Clayton surprise the original inhabitants by building big stucco shelters 🙂
Hey, Robin. Check this out.

Where Bambi goes nothing grows. The suckers eat my roses and apples.
Thanks for sharing something so nice and uplifting!
The deer in Walnut Creek are practically tame compared to Clayton.
In 30 years of living in Clayton I only saw deer 3 times, twice at night on Oak St. and once in daylight on my front lawn. The ones I saw on the lawn were a fawn & then mama deer ran up and they both rushed off ( the fawn must’ve wandered into the neighborhood ). I think they mostly come down in hot weather.
Oh see the deer. Has the deer a little doe?
LoL! OK Mike…….

A subsonic 22lr round will solve the problem of those pests coming back. You can be sure they will be coming back too much on all of your flowers. Deer are totally overpopulated. We’re not allowed to shoot them around here, so they run out in front of cars and cause havoc.
Last I checked, Contra Costa has over million people and being overrun with crazed black tail deer was not on our top 10 list of problems.
