All you maskless, “my rights are more important than anyone else’s” people: Could you stay at least six feet away from mask-wearing people wherever possible? Is that asking too freakin’ much?
Sorry but I have the right to be as close to you as I want as long as I am not touching you and I will be exercising that right because I believe in this little thing called FREEDOM. It’s in the Constitution, maybe you should try reading it sometime!
There is no need for masks. Did you know that 99% of COVID-19 cases are totally harmless? Most of the deaths have been in long-term care facilities or among older people.
@outraged your out your damn mind, pandemic or not you can’t get as close to me as you want, that creates problems, I suggest you study the laws of street code!
@concord Ygnacio Just because there is a 99% recovery rate doesn’t mean that people are recovering without damage or recovering quickly. There are people who had “mild” cases who are still sick 100+ days later, and who have permanent lung, cardiovascular or neurological damage.
Where are you getting these stats from, numbers without citations mean nothing.
@KingOfC yup my thoughts exactly do not step into my comfort zone
Outraged
Are you saying EVEN if you are closer to people without 6ft away by not touching anyone??????? Let say 3 ft apart or close without just touching. That is absolutely wrong!!!!!!! Just because you can be close without touching anyone dose not mean it gonna be Okay. Standing 6ft away is the best thing for everyone. If you are close to people even without touching not gonna work especially ones is coughing, sneezing and more to list. I always stand back away from people no matter what for my own safety.
The fact is, If you are too scared than use your tools to Wash your hands, stay 6ft away, wear mask when going outside the public and stay home. That all it take to protect your self and that the best you can do.
We just do not know when we will get to hug, handshake nor high five.
@Outraged, that’s so irresponsible. Maybe you’ll get too close to the wrong person and catch something or pass on to a loved one. Anyhow- if you ever got so close to me without touching as you said, you’ll catch my 👊! What about peoples freedom to stay healthy and do a simple thing such as wearing a mask. You’re not too good for one. So get over yourself!
@eyeseeyou:
“Where are you getting these stats from, numbers without citations mean nothing.”
These stats came from our president. He cited them.

“Trump’s claim that 99 percent of coronavirus cases are ‘totally harmless’”
@ concord ygnacio
Are you just straight trolling? Yeah trump said it, but your link is literally a fact check of the claim and concludes that there is no evidence that it is true or accurate.
Wear a face covering when you’re out and about, it’s not that difficult or inconvenient.
Don’t be suckered into the political games. This is all about health and community responsibility.
Thanks in advance people of Claycord for your compliance.
TOGETHER, we can beat this thing ❤

Very well said, Together we can get through this and best the Covid 19
Stay safe Contra Costa County.
County scorecard says one additional outbreak in nursing facility – now at 10 active with one added case from yesterday…..
Twelve new cases in Walnut Creek today. Wouldn’t be nice if they gave us an idea of where these people have been?
It might be related to the outbreak in a nursing home in Walnut Creek. They have an outbreak larger than the one in Concord according to the state data (last updated 7/6). Fortunately, there are less deaths in the Walnut Creek outbreak.
I tell you, we are never gonna see a single digit number of cases. We are always gonna see a triple numbers of cases that will absolutely never go down aid I hope not to see a 4 digits number of cases a day!!!!!!! People are having to wind up with the cases going up like crazy. That will drive the hospitals out of control because there just too many positive cases due to numbers of reason and too many to list of number of reasons. You name it, It gonna be like this for decays WE never know when the cases will ever go down. Only God knows.
Moron Hunter.
I mention that earlier to Outraged. Very well said
Reason
Yep I told Outraged the same thing. Very well said. we all need to be safe
“We are all in this together”, ‘We need to look out for each other,” “Be responsible slaves, I mean citizens”. I MAY PUKE.
@Mongoose, please elaborate
I know three people who have been tested in Contra Costa County. When was the negative and the other two initially were positive. However when they went and did the 24 hour test that they follow up with they were negative. I’m just wondering are they backing those numbers out of people who didn’t really have it.?
One*
The county is continuously updating its data. For example, in yesterday’s release of the data they lowered the number of new cases for 6/10/2020 from 34 to 33 and lowered 6/27/2020 from 82 to 81. It’s possible these were people who initially tested positive but on re-testing were found to not have COVID-19.
70% of deaths in CCC are in assisted living facilities. That segment of society makes up approximately 1% of the total population. The death rate for the entire population is .003%. Math is the first pillar of science. Stop being afraid and take an honest look a the numbers. We need to channel all resources to assisted living facilities and open up 100%.
Los Angeles County has high stats on the virus. And Mexico has high death rate these past 2 days. In Contra Costa County… We are lucky…
