Looks like fewer new cases yesterday and today. Good. 1 new outbreak in long term facility. Not so good. For any of you that keep asking how this happens: when idiot family members who have been exposed to the virus go visit, that’s how it happens. The place my MIL is in has taken extreme measures since the beginning of March to keep the virus out. We’re talking every resident isolated in their room kind of extreme. Then, yesterday, some idiot went to visit a family member who is on the bottom floor, so they could reach them from the outside. Don’t know yet if this will result in an outbreak or if they caught it in time. Unbelievable. These residents have been isolated with exception of Dr. Appts for four months now only for one idiot to ruin it all. Moron.

Visitors aren’t allowed at care facilities right now.

It’s the staff that is bringing it in.

@ Aunt Barbara – my MIL lives in an Assisted Living facility. I’m keenly aware of staff going in and out. They have very rigorous policies with regard to hygiene and health checks.

@ Facts – I know visitors are not allowed. It happened anyway. We know because we got an email from the director.

@Chuckie’s Wife

Unfortunately not all of them have been keeping up with their “rigorous policies”.

1568 tests yesterday, 80 positives. 5.1% positive rate.

Oh, come on.

That’s why EVERYONE has to follow the health guidelines ALL the time. Don’t be a spreader, you could kill someone.

Let’s hope the ‘never maskers’ will change their tune now that the National Fearless Leader says he’s “all for masks”.

I’m a never masker but I take precautions by utilizing a full body bleach cleanse. 🙂

I think for the security of our county if you know anybody with the virus please type there name hear so we can all be more safe… Wearing a mask and keeping a safe distance is key but also knowing who not to be around will help!

Kauai Mike wishes everyone a 100% safe, fun filled July 4th!

Good point.

Why is this information being withheld by county health officers like Dr Farnitano?

And, why don’t we even have access to the county health officers?

What’s it called when unelected officials make policy in secret?

The data is incredibly optimistic. The recovery rate is higher than the death rate and hospitalization rate. 75% of deaths occurred in those who were in long term care facilities. The average death rate of COVID is higher than average age of life expectancy. More testing equals more documented cases. Don’t live in fear, truth and facts are here.
