Reports have estimated millions of faulty masks have been sent to the U.S. in recent months. The CDC and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health are urging people to check to see that their N95 style masks have the proper marks of approval.

Every respirator approved by the National Institute for Occupational Safety has an approval number either on the mask or within the packaging that can be authenticated using their certified equipment list.

And your point is what?? 98% of the people in this area are using homemade mask or the disposable mask purchased in the drug or hardware store. N95 mask are supposed to be for medical folks and first responders and I am sure they know.

N-95 were available at medical supply for other than health care workers prior to this corona virus outbreak, and for purposes other than corona virus protection. They function for a number of other purposes for a mask besides just protection from corona virus.

Oh yeah baby..China our buddy dumping knock off masks on us. At this point it’s un American to purchase anything made in china.

Sam, it’s really hard not to purchase things made from China, but my family and a lot of my friends are trying hard NOT to purchase from China anymore.

It is very hard and expensive. Unfortunately it costs more, on a whole new level not to

Not Made In Communist China is going to be a label/sign in the near future.

Why wouldn’t masks from China be knock offs, everything else from there is? Newsom just purchased millions of dollars worth of them. But, as we know by now, he’s not too smart.

No comments on the fact that there were only 2 additional cases?

Well, that curve is flatter than a pancake. What now?

It’s just one data point. We’ve had single digit days in the past couple of weeks, but we’ve also had double digit days as well. Just a couple of days ago there was 27 new cases reported.

However, overall it is believed we are headed in the right direction. The general trend of the numbers is why we are now entering a new phase of easing restrictions.

Here is the daily tabulation that are hospitalized since 3/30:

Thanks Bob!

For the entire County. While how many people are not receiving a timely diagnosis/treatment for cancer, diabetes, stroke, etc…?

The cure is worse than the disease, folks. Every (honest) ledger has a column for income, and one for expenses. It is painfully obvious that the government is playing with a crooked ledger.

@Bob 2 – if you intend to do some math or whatever with the data then here are some minor corrections.
1) “4/23, 32” should be “4/23, 33”
2) You slipped a gear towards the end and shifted all the numbers by one day starting at 4/07 on down. It should be:
4/08, 30 – this is correct
4/07, 29
4/06, 30
4/05, 31
4/04, 31
4/03, 32
4/02, 31
4/01, 28
3/31, 23
3/30, 23

3) The dates you used were the dates Claycord published the numbers. The county and Claycord are reporting on the previous day’s numbers. Thus where you have “4/27, 25” is the number for 4/26/2020.

4) You can see the Total in Hospital by Day data as a graph here. It looks like Mt. Diablo as viewed from Walnut Creek! Hover your mouse over a data point to see the date and number for that point.

Great news! Hope numbers keep going down

Just saw in the news, homeless people are pouring into SFO from all over the state, asking “where is my hotel room?”. I wonder how Her Honor is going to handle that! The City is going to try screening the newcomers and sending them to live on the street. Back to square one! Problem is, the disenfranchised have been pouring in the City for decades because of its liberal policies.

The hotel thing was a lie. Gavin Newsom is a liar.

The hotel is at 1526 H St, Sacramento, CA 95814.

You’re wrong, Sam. Project Roomkey in Contra Costa was only for the homeless in the two county shelters and the few who came down with the virus or are likely to develop it due to age and comorbidities.

As of 05/04:

947 confirmed CCC cases with 28 deaths = 2.96% Death Rate

Where is the promised wide-spread antigen testing?

Without testing, we remain vulnerable to waves of new infections as people re-enter society.
