Congressman Mark DeSaulnier was released from a hospital over the weekend after recovering from pneumonia and a rib fracture from a fall in March, his congressional office announced Monday.

DeSaulnier’s office sent out a statement from his two sons that said the congressman will continue his recovery in Washington, D.C., until his doctors determine it’s safe for him to fly back to the Bay Area.

“We want to say thank you, on our Dad’s behalf, to everyone who has reached out and everyone who has been pulling for him,” his sons Tristan and Tucker DeSaulnier said. “Your thoughts, prayers, and compassion have helped sustain him through this experience.”

I wonder if he figured it out that he might have had different outcome under a single payer heath system. I wish him well but I think it’s best for him to hang it up and spend more time with his family.

Yes, Family First

I agree. It “normally” doesn’t take that long to recover from those ailments.

Good news

Welcome back.

Well, there the answer I asked over the weekend

Welcome back home Mark.

Wishing you well and a speedy recovery.

Good News!

Great News!

Glad to hear Mr. DeSaulnier is doing well. Wishing him all the best.

Nearly two months in the hospital is a long time, glad he’s doing better.

Great news and a great time to retire from politics.

So happy to hear he is finally out. Hope he’ll take his time recovering. We very much need him but respectfully will wait. It’s always best to wait for a good thing. I don’t understand some of these comments. Seems that at a time like this they should be positive & with love. 😊👍🏼♥️🌻

My comment was the best love that I could give.

Mark, is a sellout and a disgrace to our Country and his family.
How his kids can look him in the face after some of the crap he tries to pass is well beyond me. Please retire Mark, take your life back from the devil that you sold your soul too. Then go too your church and confess your sins and ask for forgiveness. Quit lying to people and try to be a helpful citizen instead of a double talking pawn for the political machine. Your family deserves more from you, time to get real about your life for a change.

This is tough love….Well Said….

That is so nice of you to wish the congressman well. You have such compassion it melts my heart.

Is his sins disagreeing with you?

He is a liberal through and through and a joke as a politician. Just another termite eating away at all our constitutional rights while drawing a taxpayer subsidized living. In exchange for making our lives miserable.

@Duck Right on!

@Hanne When you heart is “melted,” let us know. We’ll hold a wake.

Wow, Duck…! How classless can you be? I hoped that we’d all learned how to put politics aside when faced with so much craziness these last many weeks. You and your family should be ashamed.

PL – You think Duck is classless, so you decide to be rude? You might want to give a listen to Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror.

PL My sentiments exactly, some people have no shame. Obviously Duck does not believe in karma!

Mark never put Politics aside, why should I. Like mark said at his Town Clown meeting..The only reason Trump got elected was because of Russia…Bullshi**…..

Glad to hear he’s on the mend.

Best wishes, Mark.

While I do not care for the political/economic decisions Mark makes, I do wish him a speedy recovery. The Left and Right both have members who aren’t able to distinguish between being political and being a human being.

Amen!

This is excellent news!

Thank God. This county has suffered in the absence of his town halls. Maybe he should hold a town hall to investigate COVID-19 and how all the angry white men are responsible. Not him, but all the other angry white men. And not the democrats, just the repubs. And the Libertarians too. Thank you. And that will be the last comment on this subject.

Senator Glazer has been doing telephone town halls about the pandemic. I’m on his email list, so I get notified whenever there is one.

@burnbabyburn Well put!

Hurray! Was so glad to hear he’s on the road to recovery. Definitely cannot keep a good man down for long.

Don’t wish ill on anyone and glad he is well, but DeSaulnier needs to retire as he is worthless as a politician. Yeah, I kinda agree with above postings in that I hope he used this as an opportunity to reflect on life and the value of it and reconsider his views versus being simply the liberal pawn he is.

Well said.

Why is he a liberal pawn. Just like the right has true believer’s so does the left. When someone tells me the are conservative, I don’t question their motives. I take it at face value, I might disagree with them, but I respect their right to believe as they wish.

Ditto Sam. This war has been battled by the wimpiest people in all of history. Certainly those brave patriots of the American revolution and Civil War could’ve been spared of so much death and despair had they sheltered in place. With 29 deaths YTD in CoCo County and with a population of 1,154,000, all you little men and hysterical women can hide in your houses. I’m going back to work to do my part to save this country.
