They were running like normal with ridership down 90%?

Not true.

On March 23rd, BART train service ended at 9 pm vs Midnight and weekend train service did not start until 8 am vs the previous schedule of 6am to Midnight. Extra commuter trains on the Pittsburg/Bay Point line were also eliminated.

You can find the details here: https://www.bart.gov/news/articles/2020/news20200225

Looks like they had reduced hours during the week on 3/23 and weekend 3/28, but not frequency during remaining hours serviced; now they’re reducing frequency.

While I don’t like the circumstances, I sure don’t miss my morning commute on BART. Being able to work from home has been a welcome relief.
